Because it didn’t leak. It was released on purpose in coordination. To stop spreading protests in Wuhan and Hong Kong and to stop Trump by shutting down the economy. “Leak” is the fallback position when it could no longer be denied that it was engineered.

The bat soup story was the intended line.

Yes, this is the obviously correct predicate. That there were those in the U.S. who sought to cover up the fact that the human-engineered SARS-COV-2 virus had leaked/been released from -- pick whatever option you prefer -- the Wuhan virology lab (which is to say, was not attributable to the Wuhan "wet market" and other such contrafactual nonsense) is attributable to desire of those within the U.S. military-intelligence community (or, as some term it, the U.S. "security state") to deflect attention away from the fact that the SAR-COV-2 virus itself was a U.S. invention.

The U.S. security state is not in the business of providing cover for the Chinese government. That's ridiculous. The U.S. security state is in the business of providing cover, when necessary, for its own malign operations. Period. End of story.

Anyone who doesn't understand this simple reality is either an idiot or a gullible fool. And from what I see so often on this site, well, to quote a well-known former President: "Many such cases."
