A new Lennon and McCartney collaboration is the last thing anybody expected.
Yet fans of the Beatles have been taken by surprise by a new single released by the sons of two of the Fab Four - James McCartney and Sean Ono Lennon, who are both musicians themselves.
The new single, entitled “Primrose Hill” after a park in north London that offers a panoramic view of the city, was announced by McCartney, son of Paul and his late wife Linda, on Instagram four days ago.

Cool.👍
I like the idea, and will check out the song later.
Hopefully there is a video.
The Beetles surfaced when I was in high school. I thought they were repulsive then, and still do. John Lennon came off as a lefty/commie/hippie or what ever low class person of the day would be called. When he was killed there was nothing to mourn. I even disliked their music.
Listening to the song I can’t tell Sean Lennon’s voice from his dad’s.

That’s a lot for the Spoiler…
If he Doesn’t sing like Yoko I’m not interested
You should know that Lennon turned into a Reagan fan before he was assassinated. Sean Lennon is a conservative.
They met briefly during a Monday Night Football game, where both were to be interviewed, albeit separately. It was the first American Football game John had ever watched, and Reagan spent a few minutes explaining the rules to John.
Double Fantasy laid the great soundtrack for the good vibes of the Reagan (early) 80’s — followed quickly by (iirc) The Jealous Kind (Delbert McClinton) and Arc of a Diver (Steve Winwood). Lots of commons sense and virile optimism. I believe “toxic masculinity” was last year’s official term for it.

Meh — not bad but doesn’t grab me. Thanks for posting the link.
That out-of-tune guitar near the start of the song is like nails-on-a-chalkboard for me. Other than that, I guess the song is pleasant enough. Nothing that strikes me as outstanding about it, but listenable, at least.
Not bad they sound a lot like their fathers.
Boring forgettable song. With their DNA I do wish them well and hope they keep at it.
Please God, not again.
Paul and his late wife, Linda, announced the song?
Hm. Sort of Beatles-sounding, but only sort of.
What do you consider Good Music?
Listened it twice: the first and the last...
