Suddenly almost all the Michael Connelly detective novels featuring Harry Bosch have appeared on You Tube.

If you love good crime mysteries you cannot beat Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch novels. I have been a fan for decades. Whenever a new Harry Bosch book came out I would start after work on Friday, brew (a few) pots of coffee., Amass a stash of junk food, and start reading. Good times. I read almost every one in a single setting. You can’t put them down. Michael is the best ever. They are all now available for free on YouTube in a audiobook format. Good production values. If you have a long drive ahead of you fire one up. You will not be disappointed.

So, how are these up on YouTube? Seems like theft of intellectual property. First, the author, then the audiobook recording. If I was the author, I'd be very upset. Same with the company that produced the audiobook.

As good citizens, as conservatives, we should be above theft.

NOW you tell me. Just last night at 9 pm, I completed a 1,455 mile drive from North Idaho to the SF Bay Area! I did a somewhat leisurely drive in six days (as opposed to our normal two days).

As have I...but my entertainment method was the public library. I also enjoyed the TV series....binge-watching on Prime. Great author...great series.

Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch books are indeed excellent, as are his "Lincoln Lawyer" books in which Harry often shows up (he is the half brother of Mickey Haller who works out of his Lincoln Town Car). Very credible procedural detective novels and the characters are all very human and normal. The later audiobooks where Titus Welliver narrates the Bosch role are particularly good.

A number of books ago, Connelly briefly let his leftist political leanings enter the story, but then heeded the backlash that followed and has been keeping it politically neutral since.

As a author, it is personal to me. Theft of intellectual property, regardless of how you excuse it, is still theft.

And where does it say these are licensed and authorized copies? Each copy is a charge, else the person is licensing for unlimited distribution. If so, how is he paying for this?

LOL...that’s a good one and one of my pet peeves drilled into me by my 6th grade English teacher, Miss Erbaugh, who also taught us sentence diagramming.

To this day, I see so many ending sentences with prepositions...and I’d have my knuckles rapped if I did that in her class.

If you listen to the first minute, copyright information is given. Also, this appears to be originally published in 1996. Often when books are older, authors do sell the performance rights to audio book companies.
