You’ve never seen a 13 cent price hike? Seriously? I’ve seen up to 30 cents at once many times.
Election times are fun times.
When Bibi gets his wish and the U.S. is dragged into the war with Iran, the Straight of Hormuz will be shut down. Were you driving in 1973?
Ours here in Indiana went up 10, 15, and/or 20 cents three days in a row. Then was stable a couple of days then some went down and some went up more.
$2.87 in Nacogdoches
Winter spring switch in refinery brew.
Last I saw in NH, it was about $3.29.
I have seen gas price hikes in the past much larger than that in a day.
Still, WHY is not know for cheap gas for sure. You guys have been getting taken to the cleaners for years.
Ours jumped a couple of days ago. Fast approaching $5 a gallon.
I don’t know how you have had a life of such bliss, but it is incredibly common for far larger jumps to occur, literally everywhere I’ve lived in my life.
I have never heard of someone with your situation.
Freakish.
Gold up at this moment about $60 an ounce since I checked it this mid-afternoon.
Silver up about 60 cents in the same period....
But they both usually jump up several dollars / cents when the Asian markets open. then it usually starts going down several dollars / cents a couple hours after the American markets open.
So, where Au and Ag are at about noon tomorrow will be a stronger indicator.
$ 4.08 for the good stuff at the Bullhead city Arizona Sam’s Club
13 cents? That’s nothing...
Sudden gas hikes are the norm in California.
Around the beginning of the month prices there were price rises from around $3 per gallon to $3.59 at most stations. We had a month or so of price drops alternating between stations, so maybe there was a minor price war which one station finally gave up on when it hit $3, jacked up prices and the others followed (dare I say collusion?). I remember around the 3rd I found one station that was still $3.15 that I topped off at.
I used to have a station near my house that was always two days behind on increases, which was nice for a sudden big increase.
We jump all over the place up to 30 cents up or down daily for the most part... You can drive through town and then prices have changed by the time turn around and go back through.
That may be due to a shift to a more expensive “summer blend” of gasoline designed to reduce pollution in warm weather.
