The nationwide average price for regular gas topped $3.54 a gallon, a spike of more than 45 percent under President Joe Biden, AAA reported Wednesday.

In the past month, gas prices rose 20 cents ($3.34), about one dollar more expensive ($2.38) than when Trump left office.

Gas prices remain high and could go higher due to industry and political factors. Biden’s economic war on American energy independence during instability in the Middle East and in Ukraine are significant factors.

Mister President Cho Bi Den tells me gas prices are dropping everywhere, inflation is easing, and the national debt is shrinking -— and he IS President -— so that’s good enough for me!

Biden’s war on American oil could have even a bigger impact as diesel fuel is also spiking. American agriculture runs on diesel fuel and there are not even prototypes of electric tractors or combines, nor would they likely be practical as where in the middle of a field do you get recharged. Look for food prices to go even higher. Biden’s war on large trucks and now locomotives will also add fuel to the inflationary spiral.

I’ve said for years if Trump ran just on “$2 gas”, he’d win.

It was $4.79 here in Reno yesterday. (Incredibly, the last time I was in California, gas was cheaper than in the Reno and Sparks area of Nevada.)

Paid $4.05 this morning in Illinois

I am guessing you live in the Chicago area. My downstate metro area is around $3.6 for regular. I paid $4.5 for premium a couple of days ago. Calculating for inflation the $4.5 amount would be equal to ~$3.08 per gallon during the worst of GFC back in 2009.

If you point this out to a leftist they’ll laugh at you and say “The president has no control over gas prices you loon!”. And in response, you send them to the Nancy Pelosi quote about the price of gas being high because of “The oil man in the white house”.
