The “feelings” and financial situation of the criminal has taken precedence over the damage or harm done to the victim. They don’t want to impose bail on them, because the poor darlings would suffer financial hardship from that. Especially if they are POCs. They seem to get special consideration for being sprung loose as soon as they are booked. Being dimmocraps, they cannot connect letting these criminals loose with their high probability of committing more crimes in the near future, sometimes hours after release. That just becomes an “Oh well...” to the brain dead libtards. Social justice for their homies is just ever so much more important than the safety of honest citizens, you see.

I think all of the soft on crime policies, including “defunding the police”, are driven by the fact that the vast majority of violent criminals are black. The left hates this fact and is desperate to deny it, so they have simply decided to stop charging and incarcerating as many black criminals as possible. This also will eventually have the effect of corrupting the crime statistics and hiding the truth about black crime. They have no answer for the plain truth contained in those statistics, so they’ve decided instead to ensure that as many black criminals as possible just never end up being included in them. No arrest, or no charges or incarceration if arrested, and over time the black crime problem begins to just magically disappear from the statistics.
I don’t think the people who run New York actually want violent serial criminals to hurt as many people as possible, but they’re good with it to advance their Marxist goals.

Most young black men are raised by their mothers and grandmothers. And those mothers/grandmothers are of the opinion that the young men in question are innocent of their crimes because of what is now called "white supremacy" or "systemic racism." In other words, the criminals are ultimately not to blame for their crimes and therefore should be set free.
As we joke about it here on FR, these criminals were "getting their lives together...planning to attend community college" when the "system" abruptly took away their freedom.
This is a cancer on America of course and now liberals virtue signal this theme all day long.
As everyone with any sense knows, you can't fix a problem unless you can affix the blame (i.e., identify the cause). Even the U.S. justice system has been corrupted with this idea of blaming the white man for all crimes.
If we take a serious look at this problem, we have to think that America may not be able to solve this problem.
That hypothesis is incorrect.
The goal is not to hurt as many people as possible. That is the side effect, not the goal.
Violent, serial criminals are being released because reverse racism has been allowed to infect our culture with impunity. The criminals are being set free because the "white man's system" is to blame for their violent lifestyles.
This will not stop because people deny that reverse racism is a thing (i.e., reverse racism cannot exist because the people who are guilty of hating the "white man" are not in control of the system).
If our culture does not return to a state wherein justice is color/race blind, it will die...and soon.
