Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos has joined Bill Gates in pouring tens of millions into developing synthetic meat while bankrupting farmers across the U.S. in the process.
Bezos’ charitable organization, the Bezos Earth Fund (BEF), announced this week that it will spend a whopping $60 million on research and development of “alternative proteins,” or “plant-based and food-technology alternatives to animal protein.”
The BEF’s new funding commitment is part of its $1 billion campaign to transform food systems to “fight climate change.”

Nobody wants to eat that crap.
What kind of mind-bending crack are those guys, especially Gates, on? Wacko Land.
I dont care what the left says. Having cows on land is more environmentally friendly than a ploughed field of a crop.
Heck you could even have a cow eating the grass around the bottom of a windmill!
The fake meat will be nothing more than an “experimental ‘vaccine’” delivery device.
Let them waste their money or maybe they can send it to Africa as Aid ,LOL
but who’s in the fake meat ? A worker at the Lab maybe added a bit of him/her self
Nebraska Beef.

Oh come on. Don’t you want a delicious cricket for dinner?
Don’t “f” with mother nature! I wonder who would still be eating Kobe steaks?
I don’t know about cattle grazing around wind-turbines they leak oil
What happen to the Bug Bits in food rules/laws
I tried fake hamburger once when it was on sale at my local grocer. Made a burger, took one bite and spit it out. Absolutely disgusting stuff.
If you don’t want to eat meat, eat tofu. I like it, have it for dinner fairly often. Just slice it up, fry in EVOO until brown on both sides, use Chinese Sweet and Sour sauce on it.
No I don’t. I’m not a big fan of fake anything. I notice they keep shutting down meat plants so I know this crap will be their next mandate.
In a free market the people decide what they want to eat.
They’re trying to create a feudalistic society.
The peasants are tied to the land (15 minute cities), eat gruel and bugs, different laws for them vs the rest, ETC.
I have just been imagining the most productive a piece of land could be and was imagining Oil wells pumping oil from the ground, and windmills above ground with cattle grazing around them.
This basically leaves the land intact for wildflowers, bees and small wild animals and birds to still exist while providing energy from both above and below ground while simultaneously providing food.
OMG who’s side are you on anyway ,LOL
Soon you won’t have a choice.
If I want a veggie burger, then I will eat an honest veggie burger.
I happen to like chipotle black bean burgers, fried up with an egg on top and cheese melted over it.
