I would like a Russian explain to me why is the tolerance by the Russian tolerance for Russo-Ukrainian War casualties so much greater than during the Soviet Union when they fought the Afghan War. It doesn’t make sense to me. They were Communists back then. But now, they are Capitalist. So on paper, they have more to live more. Or do they?

I’m not Russian, but the difference would be that Afghanistan was a foreign, offensive venture. The war in Ukraine is a defensive venture meant to drive back NATO expansion from Germany to the Russian border, in direct contradiction to the NATO promise not to expand following the collapse of the USSR. In addition there is the persecution of Russian-leaning citizens by neo-Nazi elements in Ukraine. Ukraine has a significant Germanic population (that’s why you have people like the American political fraudster Alexander Vindmann being of “Ukrainian” identity despite having an obviously germanic name) and that seems to play a role in the existence of neo-Nazi sentiment there.

The MSM has been lying about Russian casualties. They are much lower than Ukrainian casualties and their country is much larger. The Russians believe that this is an existential war against the Neocon globohomos in DC and DC's european vassals. They are not going to stop until they have won decisively. That might not take too much longer the way things are going.
They captured three extremely strong Ukrainian fortresses in Bakhmut, Marinka, and now Avdeevka. When he remaining lesser fortresses fall the Kiev regime might collapse very quickly. The Neocons will then have killed possibly 500,000 soldiers for no good reason and wasted $200 billion of our money.
The USSR didn’t have thousands of Wagner mercenaries to sacrifice, or Chechen fighters ready to die for Allah.

They are fighting to keep a hostile foreign alliance away from their own border.

As an American looking at it, I can see the Russians face Soros and Globohomo trying to weasel their way into Russia. If you had subways that look like Moscow, a homogenous, happy, patriotic nation, and you were not getting ripped off blind by a conspiracy which is borrowing your nation into the ground, flooding it with the third world migrant tsunami, a pedophile installed as President in a rigged election, pedophile grooming your children and transgendering them in the schools behind your back, a domestic surveillance machine set neighborhood by neighborhood to listen in houses like the Stasi and beaming people, even Senator Ron Johnson with Havana syndrome, what would you do to keep it out of your nation?
Honestly, I would fully understand if in the year Putin nuked London, DC, Paris, Berlin, and Brussels. You do not let Globohomo have an inch.
And yeah, I’d prefer Putin to what is running the West now. I’d even join an army to fight for it.
