If Jill turns into Jackie that problem goes away....

Think like a Deep Stater and see how easy it is to move the chess pieces.

I believe this was published for the expressed purpose of laying the groundwork and providing political cover for the deep state. It would not surprise me in the least if the rats are now cleared to start publicly criticizing and publicly sniping at Biden to weaken him further

I think you're right.

And it allows white liberal elites to bypass the people who might 'discover' serious problems with their new choice. That matters on the left because their butt boys in the press and DOJ and FBI and 'intelligence' will lie for their new pick. Maybe even publish letters where 51 of 'em lie in unison... These are dark times in our democracy.

“He would be 82 by the time that he took the oath for a second term.”

Roberts would have to announce the oath one word at a time so Biden could remember what to say.

Staying in would help Trump, if that weren’t the case, the NYT would not be writing pieces like this.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall when those who pull the strings have “the talk” with Joe about stepping down.

This is an opinion piece by Ross Douthat not the editorial board with an official opinion of the Slimes. Douthat is not a conservative but is as close to one as will be permitted to write in that propaganda mouthpiece for the Party of Satan.

“Meanwhile any agony would be much briefer than in a long primary battle between Harris and Gavin Newsom or Gretchen Whitmer. “

this “journalist” is a complete moron: 80% of the states have already frozen their primary ballots based on state law deadlines ... no matter what happens to dementia joe or when, he’s going to win almost all the pledged delegates, and if for any reason, he’s a no-show at the dem convention, an epic fight of biblical portions will erupt at said convention, and likely last for weeks ...

The Dems have what they call ‘Super Delegates’, the Republicans don’t.

In case of chaos, the Super Delegates choose the winner.................

Remember when RFK, Jr. attempted to run in the Democrat primary and they wouldn't let him?

The Democrats do not believe in the Democratic process. That much is crystal clear.

“In case of chaos, the Super Delegates choose the winner”

for the 2024 Dem Convention, there are 3,934 pledged primary delegates + 738 so-called superdelegates, where said superdelegates vote only if there is not a majority vote on the first ballot, which would be a most likely scenario for a biden no-show ...

nonetheless, the superdelegates represent only about 16% of the total ... it’s also likely that the superdelegates, which are made up of party “leaders” AND elected officials, are likely to be split into deeply divided factions themselves ...

“If Dr. Jill doesn’t want to step down, it’s going to be hard to make her.”

This is the proper lede for this story. D O C T O R Jill is the one who keeps wiping his mouth and ass and trotting him out to slobber, drool and wander about on the dais searching for someone to shake hands with. She doesn’t want to leave 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. There, she’s got a staff of dozens
that are paid for by the taxpayers to cater to her every whim and the truckload of Joe’s issues. If he’s not president anymore, she has to deal with him herself or pay for staff to deal with him out of Joe’s 10%. Which one would you pick?

I disagree. A partially live Joe can still write books and generate $$$$. Dead in the office Joe is dirt broke.

Prominent NYT Columnist Tells Biden To Step Aside: ‘He Is Not Up For This’

https://twitter.com/HuffPost/status/1758689084074062303

Ezra Klein, a prominent liberal columnist for The New York Times, published an audio essay Friday making his case against President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, saying he should withdraw from the race and allow delegates to pick from a slate of candidates with a better shot at defeating Donald Trump in November.

“We had to wait till this year — till now, really — to see Biden even begin to show what he’d be like on the campaign trail. And what I think we’re seeing is that he is not up for this,” Klein said on his popular semi-weekly podcast, “The Ezra Klein Show.”
