Via ABC News:
Georgia’s Republican Gov. Brian Kemp on Sunday pushed back on former President Donald Trump’s position that he should be granted legal immunity for his actions while he was in the White House, amid his 91 criminal charges, which he denies.
“My personal opinion is, no one is above the law,” Kemp told ABC News’ “This Week” co-anchor Jonathan Karl.

Clearly Ford’s pardon of Nixon indicates presidents are not immune, but obviously presidents (and police officers and judges) must be given extraordinary levels of leeway and benefit of doubt.
The prosecutor can say a criminal is too dangerous to release and provide substantial justification for such an opinion, but a judge or a parole board can order a release and not normally be tried for a resulting murder.
Mayorkas’s people can release ‘refugees’ into this country even if they have gang tattoos and not face criminal justice for negligent homicide or depraved indifference.
why can’t we find out what the RATS are blackmailing him with...
Kemp is dirty, I expect more to be caught up as the Fani onion is peeled.
Kemp should be investigated and prosecuted. Follow his money to the China connections.
“If Nixon wouldn’t have resigned, would they have prosecuted him?”
If President Ford hadn’t pardoned him, Nixon would likely have been prosecuted. Democrats hated him as much as they hate Trump today and wanted to see him behind bars. Ford pardoned him to save the nation the legal spectacle the Democrats and their allies in the media were hoping to play out, culminating in photographs of Nixon behind bars. Ford’s pardon stopped this effort and he paid for doing what he thought was best for the nation by losing his election bid in 1976 to the virtually unknown (outside of Georgia) Jimmy Carter.
The only argument for Trump selecting Kemp to run with him as VP is Kemp could deliver Georgia. Looking at the idea cold bloodedly. Kemp would be in the tent pissing out instead of outside the tent pissing in. Rathsberger the SOS would be cooperative he would see his opportunity to move up and be governor. Stranger things have happened & politics often make strange bedfellows. In politics one moves the chess pieces to win not to feel good! Selecting Kemp would be a hard pill to swallow but better then that stupid RFKjr idea at least Kemp can deliver something - Georgia. Trump needs Georga! If I want to feel good about his VP selection; have that warm internal glow I’ll take Carson. However what does he actually deliver.
(Clearly Ford’s pardon of Nixon indicates presidents are not immune, but obviously presidents (and police officers and judges) must be given extraordinary levels of leeway and benefit of doubt.)
And what if the Supreme Court sides with the appellate court/Jack Smith and doesn’t give Trump any extraordinary leeway and benefit of doubt, then what?
I reckon RINO scum like Kemp want to be among the first to the ‘Rat lifeboats when the SS GOP finally sinks beneath the waves.
Come on, Georgia. Get rid of this guy. He’s corrupt.
They wanted Nixon’s scalp since he worked with HUAC.
His daughter’s boyfriend died in an exploding car.
If Nixon was impeached would the Senate have convicted him?
I suggest not
Nixon was very popular and I think that the repubs would think twice about voting for a conviction
“That’s pretty much every politician, they have no core principles, they just go with the side they think they will have more success with, and more money.”
Actually most Democrat politicians are committed communist, socialist or statist ideologues who reject the founding father concept of individual liberty. They are fully committed to the principle that the people serve the state. The needs of the community (i.e. the state) are superior to the dreams and desires of the individual citizen.
Most Republican politicians have no core principles. They are self serving and use political office to become wealthy and exert government power to benefit their wealthy sponsors. They are as committed to big government as Democrats. The difference is they use government power to benefit their sponsors, while Democrats use power to exert control over people and destroy opponents.
Sadly, neither of today’s political parties is committed to individual liberty. Republicans claim to be “conservative” protectors of individual rights but when it comes to walking the talk, they run away. The silence of most GOP leaders to the denial of due process rights to January 6 defendants, the ongoing censorship and spying activities of government police and intelligence agencies, government pressure on private companies for private information about citizens, and the increasing frequency of commando style SWAT team arrests of average citizens and political opponents is proof positive of their lack of commitment to the principles enshrined in the Constitution.
In Atlanta? Trump will probably get a majority black female jury. Conviction is almost guaranteed unless one person has the guts to force a hung jury, then they will just try him again.

Kemp is dirtier than Whoopie Goldberg’s thong underwear.
(dirtier than Whoopie Goldberg’s thong underwear.)
You just made me throw up my Church’s fried chicken. Thanks a lot!
Kemp is a despicable POS that should be in jail for treason and corruption.
I know. I cringe when he talks. He’s an Democrat pretender.
If Kemp was on the ticket, I stay home.
He’s a backstabbing punk.
