Teen violence has been around since there were teens.

NOT AT MY HIGH SCHOOL. WE HAD NO VIOLENCE.

Why do we tolerate violence in schools? It is not tolerated in the workplace - except in places like Oakland.

Parents wouldn't tolerate it at their work place. Why do they tolerate it where their children go to school?

Well, I know nothing about your high school, but my high school in Va. had violent acts take place. It was very rare, but there were incidences though. Nothing like today. But after school fights would occasionally occur also, but not usually on school grounds. Tempers are not a new thing, it's just that now tempers flare much easier, and there is absolutely no control as the crowd is more likely to egg it on, not try to intervene.

It was not tolerated at all. One or more who participated may have been expelled but absolutely suspended depending on the severity of the incident. There was never school shooting though.
