Advocates argue that it addresses the recruitment challenges faced by the military while providing an opportunity for undocumented individuals to serve their country. However, critics express apprehension about the potential risks and implications of such a policy shift. As discussions unfold, the debate intensifies, leaving many questioning the potential consequences of this bold proposal.

How did that work out for Rome?
If they want a military career WITHOUT declaring citizenship... why don’t they join a mercenary outfit and make a LOT more money???
For this proposal, we need only be reminded of the uncertainty of outcome that came with Major Nidal Hasan.
Nidal Malik Hasan (born September 8, 1970) is a Palestinian-American former United States Army major, physician and mass murderer convicted of killing thirteen people and injuring more than 30 others in the Fort Hood mass shooting on November 5, 2009.
How many more incidents like this do we need to to completely quash this notion of allowing illegal aliens to serve in the US military? They are not and never shall be friends of the United States.
And Nidal Hasan was admitted legally.
NO!!!!!
That will give them the ability to create an army of foreign nationals who hate America and will be used against its citizenry.
I would offer three key issues:
1. Just because Jose Sanchez says he’s Jose Sanchez from Peru...without any ID...does not make him Jose Sanchez...prime-material for a Army E-1. Just vouching...won’t work.
2. Will the guy/gal speak English at a level for boot-camp and training required? If not, just how many months will you waste on English train (six minimum)?
3. Finally, you might well go and accept 5,000 initial folks...to discover only 25-percent have what you’d accept as a 10th grade education, while the bulk (75-percent are at the 7th to 9th grade level).
On a direct criticism...once you explain to Jose Sanchez that he’ll be led by LGBTQ NCOs/officers, will this be something that he can accept? With the Latin mentality, I would imagine most will just start laughing, saying ‘para nara’ (no).
Destroy the country, make the white man the “enemy” then when young white men no longer enlist, you do whatever desperate thing you can think of to get recruits.
If you were brought here as a young child, and have lived here without major issues since, then I am okay with providing a pathway to citizenship for you.
If however you came here as an adult illegally, you don’t get to cut the line just because you came here illegally. You must go through the legal immigration process just like anyone else.
You made a decision as an adult to break our laws, you don’t get rewarded for it.
NFW. My grandfather a LEGAL immigrant received citizenship from his service in WW1 in the horse Calvary. This is not the same.
“...If you were brought here as a young child, and have lived here without major issues since, then I am okay with providing a pathway to citizenship for you...’
You’re right. However, people who have lived here on a free ride for years owe the US a LOT of back taxes...Pay your back taxes, THEN I’d be OK with it.
I mean... just think how YOU would be in life if you didn’t pay taxes for the last eleven years!!!
Cubans who fled Castro were offered citizenship for serving in the 60’s.
The difference today is that illegals would be mercenaries with a mercenary outlook. There is nothing that binds these men to the US and its Constitution or its people or its founding.
Enlisting foreigners did not work out well for the Roman Empire.
What cannot be defeated from without can be defeated from within.
I never said they would get citizenship with no cost.... I said they deserve a path to citizenship if they were brought here as a child and lived here relatively peacefully since.
Part of that could be paying back taxes, and other requirements... but I have no problem granting them a pathway to get citizenship.
If however they came here illegally as an adult, no, you don’t get to skip the line...
That army will be glad to fire on Anmericans.
Hi.
Help me here.
The U. S. has always used “mercenaries” and granted them citizenship after completion of their enlistment.
Is this situation different?
5.56mm
“Americans” that is.
A person enlisting to fight in an army is not a mercenary. A mercenary is a freelancer, or group of freelancers…like Wagner.
They are two very, very different things.
Valenzuela’s dumping prisoners and the mentally insane into our country.
Terrorists are coming here in droves. What could possibly go wrong arming these people with our newest and best weapons?
Biden and his goons and thugs KNOW an army made up of foreigners - illegals at that - would be find shooting and killing people living in Red States.
