Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

I hate to fall into the trap of underestimating the Russians, but HOW DID THEY LET THE DRONES THROUGH THE CHOKEPOINT?

https://twitter.com/Cbritinha/status/1753163730089595240

I believe a ZU-23-2 could cover the 400 meters.

Of course, the gunner would have to stay sober.

Turkey was booted out of the F-35 program for buying S-400s from Russia.

The probably have to send them all to Ukraine, to get back in.

“Gunner pictured during the day time, just prior to being inspected by superior officers, & without his usual 2 liters of vodka, without his nighttime bedding and teddy bear.”

It’s good that he takes care of himself like that, because his officers probably leave him at his post for a week at a time without food, water or a bathroom break; while they go on their own vodka benders.

BeauBo: "Maybe they could haul some GLSDBs within range of Stevastopol, and pop some there as well."

Based on the video below, I believe it is possible to launch GLSDBs from a boat.

Perhaps Kerch bridge would be a better target.

Cool. During the battle for Zmiinyi Island in 2022, Ukrainian forces used a BM-27 Uragan from a barge off the shores of the Danube.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet has lost another ship. But this could have been avoided

Unfortunately, we have to admit that our forecast that Russia will continue to lose the Black Sea Fleet is coming true. Last night, sea drones attacked the Ivanovets missile boat (project 1241 Molniya).

According to our information, “Ivanovets” was attacked in the roadstead of Lake Donuzlav, near Evpatoria. Alas, we are forced to confirm the information about the sinking of the ship. At this point, three sailors are known to have died, and two more are considered missing. Fortunately, the rest of the crew were saved.

Sources in the fleet said that although the Ivanovets was equipped with electronic warfare systems, they were turned off at the time of the attack. Moreover, the boat crew did not have access to thermal imagers.

“There was one thermal imager for the entire boat, and that one was in the ship’s captain’s safe,” the interlocutors say.

Most of the crew members were saved thanks to the coordinated actions of sailors from other ships. The fact is that the outbreak was very serious, which made it possible to quickly notice it and rush to help, says one of the participants in the rescue operation.

Our interlocutors in the fleet told us that the Ivanovets was attacked by at least dozens of naval drones. The problem was that the drones were of different modifications and communication with them was at different frequencies.

It is for this reason that some of them were drowned out, while others, alas, reached their target.

“It seems that this was some kind of competition to see whose drone would be the first to reach the target and cause damage,” complains an interlocutor from among the senior officers of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Unfortunately, sources agree that Ukraine has made great progress in the use of maritime drones over the past two years. And this causes serious problems for the classic fleet. During an attack, ships could simply move away from the drones at speed, but detection often occurs too late.

It is also obvious that the presence of serious electronic warfare systems would have made it possible to avoid the loss of the boat.

Why are Indians better than Russians? Or why the demand for migrants is growing in Russia

Colleagues from Kommersant published an interesting text about how Russian companies are increasingly turning to recruitment agencies with the task of finding migrant workers from countries with “inexpensive labor” - India, Pakistan and North Korea.

At the same time, in the text the authors note that, in general, such employees are mainly suitable for unskilled work, they do not know the language and cost the same as local residents, but in the long run this approach justifies itself. Primarily due to the low probability of a situation where a foreign employee leaves for another job.

In reality, the situation looks like this: Russians, although not all of them, are registered with the military, which means that at any moment they can be mobilized to participate in the military military service. It is also obvious that Russians can still move around the country more easily and they do not have a language barrier.

Another argument is that hypothetical Indians or Koreans can be brought in illegally without documents, and then simply blackmailed with deportation. Yes, it looks like slavery , but North Korea is actively selling its citizens to work abroad.

And Russia, together with China, is a leader in attracting such employees. Mostly we are talking about construction or mining.

It is important to emphasize that the usual flow of migrants from Central Asia has now stopped. Many immigrants from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other allied countries are in no hurry to obtain Russian citizenship, as was previously the case.

Also, according to rumors from the Foreign Ministry, the authorities of these countries are cautiously not advising their citizens to go to Russia, fearing that they may end up in war.

At the same time, it is obvious that the return of all migrants to these republics will create a social catastrophe there - millions of citizens will return to countries where there is no decent work for them, millions of families will be left without means of subsistence.

Thus, an interesting moment has arisen in the labor market - migrants from Central Asia are looking for alternative options, and company owners are already thinking about who will work in the lowest paid positions.

Meanwhile, the authorities of our country boast about record low rates of unemployment, forgetting that these rates are ensured primarily by sending hundreds of thousands of men from cities, villages and towns throughout the country to war.

The russian T-80BV (?) tank has just crossed the railway towards Stepove and immediately received a hot “gift” from the FPV drone of the 47th Brigade.

After which the enemy crew was still trying to get the vehicle into operation, they even managed to fire a shot, but realizing that it wasn’t safe, the orкs left the tank.

Excellent post. Recommended reading for all.

100% ruzzian disinformation for ruzzian consumption.

Yes, we lost a boat, but most of the crew was saved.

Here's a link for the video:

Here's the explosion:

It appears in the video that ruzzia's CIWS is ineffective against USVs.

Russia continues to hide the disappearance of its Chief of the General Staff - Valery Vasilyevich Gerasimov. Thought to have been killed early Jan in a #Ukraine strike in #Crimea.

This week Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held another of his ludicrous Defence ministry updates (1st pic), but Gerasimov was nowhere to be seen (2nd pic).

Classic ruzzian disinformation:

Never mind that the Ivanovets could be used as Early Warning radar for Crimean short range air defense.

Never mind that Ivanovets can launch long range SAMs.

Never mind that Ivanovets can launch cruise missiles.

Never mind....
