Most of my friends are college grads, I am not. Without fail, there cannot be ten minutes of conversation with any of them that does not revert to some college anecdote, quote from a lecture, etc. It’s as if that was the point development stopped for them. I dearly love my friends, but this is an observable and repeatable scenario. Where one went to college or to what fraternity one pledged seems to be a major identity factor.

There’s
Peaked in college
Peaked in high school
There might even be peaked in grade school, however such low intellect probably include groups such as antifa; and those with this minimal thought processes are simply dangerous to be around.

“Walk with the wise and become wise,
But a company of fools suffers harm.”

I’ve got friends who continually reminisce about those “good old days” and it’s an absolute bore, which makes my ears bleed. High school football games which one is constantly reliving and relaying..really?

I suppose it is best to continually educate and improve yourself, so your brain peaks in old age. We should never stop learning.

“An unexamined life is not worth living”

All signifiers of really pathetic college grads, whatever generation you’re talking about.

My sportyball team beat your sportyball team last week. To speak to your point.

There are some colleges where having graduated from there matters, many where it does not, or matters little vs. somewhere else.

In general, we’re shoving way too many through the college system, many who should be undergoing vocational education. One of the reasons Georgia is highly ranked by businesses as a place to do business is because there is an excellent vocational/technical college system.

“It’s as if that was the point development stopped for them. “

Why are they most of your friends?

Don’t think too much about it.

It was a major life change for them and their first time somewhat on their own, so they feel like that part of their lives was significant.

Think of it like a group of retired military guys. I worked as a non-military experience civilian at a military base). I was not a part of their ‘fraternity’ and knew it. It was their growing up/coming out experiences.

Now I’m living in the South with retirees, many from NYC area. I’m from the rural Midwest. They never fail to reference some NYC restaurant or neighborhood that means nothing to me. Sometimes I just want to throw out, “I lived at the intersection of state highway XX and YY. Did you ever go to blah blah blah.” Just so they know how little their inside convos don’t interest me. But I don’t because they are enjoying themselves.

#15 My cousin always mention UCLA in get togethers.
He is 65 now.
His home has several ucla mugs and rugs and pennants.
I never made it out of high school yet have made more money. He is smart as he has run his own business for near 40 years but he talks in business speak which are crafty words that you are not sure mean what.
