Although it was in the 1980’s, I worked High Rise Construction and close to half of the guys wore their hard hats backwards, kind of like how people wear their ball caps backwards. I am “certainly” not a supporter or defender of Joe Biden but people who think wearing his hard hat backwards is something to make a big deal about are out of touch with real blue collar workers.

In the defense of whoever placed it on his head, the hat is brown. Such hats are often worn by iron workers, steel workers, and welders. They often wear them reversed for adding welders shield or goggles. If i was handing a Guest a hat i would place it similar to those he was visiting. I would be unlikely to reverse the suspension on a new bucket as it would only be worn a few minutes.
