The city of Seattle will pay Black Lives Matter rioters $10 million in a settlement stemming from a lawsuit related to the George Floyd riots in 2020.

“This decision was the best financial decision for the City considering risk, cost, and insurance,” said City Attorney Davison, according to Fox News. “The case has been a significant drain on the time and resources of the City and would have continued to be so through an estimated three-month trial that was scheduled to begin in May.”

“This settlement resolves the majority of the remaining claims arising out of the 2020 demonstration period and is a big step toward allowing the City to focus on the important work of today, while moving forward from events four years ago,” Davison added.

Well, BeijingBiden ran on a platform to reimburse every state that helped him sleaze his way into the WHouse. He will simply print more money and pass it on in another pandemic handout.

Seattle deserves every bit of what they are getting.

That's OUR tax money they're being paid. We don't deserve that.

They are probably not even paying attention. They are morons, after all.

Voters in my hometown are an embarrassment to the human race.

It’s Seattle.

The stupid reigns supreme there.

Don’t worry. They’ll destroy themselves sooner rather than later.

Even if the City were at fault the way claimed, the payment is outsized enough to clearly represent a political payout.

The people making these decisions to ‘capitulate‘ are getting kickbacks from this settlement.
Bank on it!
This is typical in any crap-hole city.

People need to hang.

Let us say you are a government and want to support some cause but you know the voters would not approve, how do you fund them legally?

Simple, have them sue you. You don’t put up much of a defense, they win, and you hand over tax free money to the group.

This is also true about changing public policy. You (the governing body) support the changes but you know the voters would not approve. How do you change the policy? Have them sue you and then putting up a bare minimum defense lose and having a court rule you have to change the policy.

Exactly. Or sign a consent decree.

This is a funding grant for Antifa/BLM-related groups.

10 million for 50 people is $200,000 each, minus legal fees. I wonder what these people were doing when the police used “excessive force” against them, and I wonder what the nature of that ‘excessive force” was. I bet that whatever the police did, it was no worse than what they did to the J6 protesters - maybe not as bad.

You better believe it. Corruption on a nuclear level.

Most of it is Washington states tax money and they keep electing fools, so whose at fault here? They are cutting their own throats.
