A BTT for an interesting topic. The war against farming has been evident for some time in Europe but certainly has metastasized into such places as Australia, Canada, and the United States. At first glance it seems suicidal, but as a device for centralizing political power it's hard to find anything comparable to control of the food supply.

It has many facets: the conurbation of the Dutch farmlands has been accused of generating more revenue for the government than their status as grazing land (I did not know how dominant Dutch beef production was in Europe) as well as a stylish disdain of meat in the diet of the unwashed classes. Let them eat bugs. It's all for the greater good of the planet, we are told, but if along the way it happens to be beneficial to authoritarian government, why so much the better.

There is, as well, the weird conviction that a rich diet should be the natural and sole possession of the ruling classes as a sort of status symbol. Anyone who thought this attitude died with the Divine Right Of Kings should take a second glance at, say, the culinary excesses of Davos and be reminded that the King's table empties last and the King is just fine with that.

Interesting. The Europeans are well known for executing the elites who rule over them. The Davos crowd better watch out.

So much of the news from around the world you’ll never hear from the Marxist State Media. Need 5-10 alternate media sources to get the real news.
