The Balts feel threatened by their disloyal Russian minorities, but if they deport them for refusing to learn Latvian, harboring pro-Russian/Soviet views, or whatever, the Russians might invade.
The best thing the Balts could do is hand out a rifle and 100 rounds of ammo to every ethnic citizen from 17 to 65, one RPG to every 5th citizen, and one anti-aircraft shoulder-fired missile and anti-tank weapon to every 20th citizen. The Russians would never invade.
What's that about?
Why we are so afraid of those lunatic nutcases in Iran is beyond me.
IRAN: WOW, WE GOT A LOT OF MONEY FROM THAT FORREST GUMP PRESIDENT OF THE USA...NOW WE CAUSED TROUBLE IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF GAZA AND WE STARTED TROUBLE IN THE NORTH....OOO, OOO, I KNOW...LET’S BOMB PAKISTAN.
Oh, yeah, these geniuses will rule the world.
Interesting historic side-note:
On 10 April 1918, troops of the Imperial German Army occupied Belgorod. After the conclusion of the Brest-Litovsk peace treaty of 9 February 1918 the demarcation line passed to the north of the city.
Belgorod became part of the newly proclaimed Ukrainian People’s Republic (February to May 1918) and Ukrainian State headed by Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi. The city Belgorod served as the temporary capital of the Ukrainian People’s Republic. From 23 June to 7 December 1919, the Volunteer Army occupied the town as part of White-controlled South Russia.
Since 2022, Belgorod has been plagued by ‘unclaimed’ attacks, explosions and also ‘Russian friendly fire’ since the outbreak of the conflict.
Ukraine has disavowed any connection to the Russian partisan fighters. Another anti-Kremlin militia has said it also took part in the raid, but it was only the latest example of violence hitting the Belgorod region.
