The mortality statistic or number of people who die is not affected by the number of people entering the country, unless those are the people who are dying or killing others, which would increase the number of deaths.
Maybe you’re thinking of the mortality rate, which is a fraction or percentage, and that would be affected by the increase in population number, as it changes the percentage.

Only is we count every obituary that was posted that people assumed was a vax death that ultimately had nothing to do with the vax.
