Another Panderverse bomb.

Nothing beats Bud Light tho. Going for that 0.021% market share which, just so happens, to exist in defiance of 99.89% of your customers.

Marketing!

This is the feminist director of the next Star Wars film saying that her goal is to “make men uncomfortable”:

Thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to avoid this movie.

Disney slop loses money but they keep making it. It’s an obvious agenda they are pushing. And the main goal is demoralization.

This is why we need to cut the cord. They're making enough money from our TV subscriptions that they can afford to take losses on left wing propaganda like this.

In the end, she still desires the Big Bamboo.

They all do.

And have no idea how to get it.

Dumber than dirt.

All this crap from the studio people and noise in comments that come on this kind of thread is a large part of the reason I have been watching old movies made during the studio era. As much as people want to talk about a different America and how many warts this country had in the earlier part of the 20th century, the driving force in movie making was the profit motive.

So the studios mostly made movies that they thought a lot of people would want to see. There were ego productions, but those were mostly marginal independent productions. Add in how grateful the European refugees were to be in America and not in fascist Europe and you end up with patriotic movies during the big war - WW II.

The profit motive - often mislabeled as greed - is a pure economic factor. It's kind of like making and selling cars that people want to buy, without an agenda.

She comes from a society which condones and practices slavery (yes THERE ARE slaves in most Muslim countries). This is likely why DIS hired her. probably a big draw in her CV.

The yolk has to go on the slave. Easier to do when he willingly accepts it. This is what demoralization and cultural destruction is for. Destroy their identity and provide the replacement in the fashion of their ruler.

These are very, very bad people at DIS.

It is ridiculous (and inaccurate) to ascribe the behavior of Woke companies to classical, free-market businesses and corporations in general.

These are Marxist-Fascist, crony-capitalist organizations...not businesses.

I saw the first Star Wars movie. I saw the first Indiana Jones movie. Anything after that is simply milking the franchise. I don’t have any interest in the childish superhero movies.

Yes.

But I also think the dupes are actually convinced that their moves will be popular with the general public because the woke crowd is so vocal and they think that represents everyone.

American companies were bullied into Diversity Equity and Inclusion by commies and the sexual weirdo community. That phrase was a lie. They were NOT diverse or inclusive. The opposite...

The Bud Light movement helped open company’s eyes and allowed them to break the bonds of depravity. American companies will go back to caring about customers again - and soon. Those who serve the commie and weirdo masters will go under because if that bunch could ‘save’ a brand they would have saved Bud Light.

“...driving force in movie making was the profit motive.”

The profit is more than just buying the house in the Hamptons. It is the main tool to displaying your agenda. It pays for things in the real world but is also a bragging tool to display perceived power based upon the success it fools the people with. And power gravitates a crowd in this case. Using the mouse is capturing the attention of the sheep some who were there when it was about making money to expand to now where it is used to buy that house. Before rich people wanted to get more rich to grow. Now they produce money for themselves to party.

I think we can surmise that the decision makers are rich with the cattle calls of people they land. They aren’t interested in tomorrow or even the people they con. And so they bleed the public as fast as possible with a barrage of money making schemes. And this is why our society is failing because making that scheme work is punishing people that make the money they are taking away while disguising it as entertainment. Both are the failures as one group will gladly take it away and the other group is just dying to give it to them. In the end, they both lose just one a little slower.

This was not Walt’s world. He wanted to grow, yes, and knew it took cash. But he actually gave the public something to come back to and treated them right. And that’s what made Disney different. Now they have no product, no safe facilities, and no future.
