Republicans should say it’s a state’s rights issue. Because legally, it is. They can work to change their state laws but the federal government has no standing.
The dems are making it about ballot access for Trump, something that is long shot with SCOTUS. The parties can put up whomever they want, they are private organizations. Not a single issue will be discussed before the primaries are long long long over.
The Dems sort of did it to themselves, screwing with the schedule.
The Republicans need to pound on the truth over, and over, and over: A fetus is an individual human being, and a DNA test would prove it.

The narrative that abortion is winning votes for Dems has zero evidence.
What does have evidence is talk of abortion consumes time and text that could have been spent talking about draining the Swamp and rejection of elites.
That is the only significant impact of abortion. Distracting from what will actually win votes. Abortion is a pointless issue because no minds are going to be changed.
I agree. The GOP should not allow RATs to set the narrative. Abortion isn’t tops on people’s list at the moment. Make it about immigration and the rotten economy if you want to nail RATs.

Students and young voters oppose abortion and will vote for the most vehemently Pro Life candidates in 2024 and that energy will be harnessed when the GOP put Life at the top of their agenda.

Republicans should not run for federal office on the abortion issue. It’s a non-starter and we will lose - again. Abortion is a state issue.
