Won't deny their reliability, but was never a fan of their ergonomics and the way the gun sat in the hand. Also had other handguns to shoot so never saw the need to change my grip, and Sig or my 1911 just felt better.
But gotta give credit where credit is due, and that Gaston did indeed stir up the industry and force others to think outside the box. Although, with a tagline such as "Glock Perfection"; there sure are an awful lot of aftermarket mods. To make it "More" perfect I guess.
I admire that. Staid old school with the tried and true. Just look at all the dreck on the market.
