I'm looking forward to watching California environmentalists argue with each other over whether or not they should mine this lithium for electric cars.

If you really want to mess with their heads, tell them Allah was right about lithium, and leave it there.

Yup,”fighting” climate change is not pretty. Or fair. Will these operations, if done, embrace ‘dei’? There is an ongoing discussion about opening a mine in northern NV near the OR line. There is one operating west of U.S.95 in western NV. Ugly, hazardous ops.

True that. Devastating.

I suspect if anything can be mined in the U.S., it’s bad. As long as another country mines it and can make money selling it, it’s good.

Correct. No coal for is but China is bringing coal plants on line weekly. Or, they were. Coal trains headed to ports in the NW to ship to China.

It’s not about whether it saves the environment, it’s about who they can harangue.

don’t expect much of an argument. Most will just turn on the tv to learn the position they should take.

Considering the fact that Liberalism is a Mental Disorder, and far too much of it is within the borders of Kalifornia, let’s take much of that Lithium to treat Kalifornia.

Here we see two pro-EV liberals calmly discussing the lithium mining issue.
The lady on the left wants absolutely no mining, anywhere.
The lady on the right wants mining, just not in her neighborhood.

These hypocrites shut down any rare earth mineral mine they can, they are so NIMBY. But its ok if some child in Asia or Africa works as a slave laborer for their lithium.

I can tell you who is going to win that argument.

CA has already starved itself of oil and electricity in the name of Gaia. No way they will allow lithium mining. Not a chance.

Sure is, though I recall it as a kid in the sixties and it was fun!
