I understand the concern over terrorism charges being used in nefarious ways however, this really is terrorism and needs to be dealt with very harshly. I suppose legislation could be written in such a way that it would be a high bar to meet but however it must be done, so be it. This has to stop.

Thanks for posting. The call not traceable? The lie is the weapon used most often by the criminal. Innocent individuals could be hurt or killed.

Swatting should be a federal crime with serious consequences: 10 years in jail, $1,000,000 fine; life sentence if anyone is injured or killed. Plus all costs.

So again to everyone if this happens to you, do not publicize it. You’re literally giving your adversary Intel on whether thier op was successful or not.
Your best chance is to get somebody in law enforcement. To give you information on the back trace call. And all emergency call centers. Can back trace any call.

There should always be a log of where a call comes from, not only the address but if a cell phone which cell tower is it came from. It’s called the back trace and all 911 centers have access to it
Unless the perp is using a throw away, they know exactly who is generating these calls.
Even with that, they know where the call originated.
They are complicit.
Most likely using BURNER PHONES!

I’ll just add that the caller hopes the cops will arrive on scene, and start shooting and ask questions later after someone is killed- the callers want someone in the household that they swat to be murdered by cops who don’t realize that it is a criminal call to them
Since she states online this has happened on multiple occasions (another mistake IMO) and to local PD is aware of whats going on you’d think when they get one of these calls they would just call her directly and verify there is no problem instead of spending money and resources responding.
Also, what you said about tracing the call, I guess there must be some way around that if it’s happened this many times and they still can’t catch ‘em.
I know of one case. Here in Torrance, CA. D-Ted Lieu’s house was swatted a few years ago. He was not home but his wife answered the door in her bathrobe with her kids also in the house. Nothing happened but swatting is BS.
I don’t think the culprits were ever found.
