Surprise!Surprise!Surprise!

There more money to be made in corrupt politics than running hotels and covenience stores. Cincinnati Ohio has a similar pmayor.

Just shows how some immigrants can find very lucrative “american” careers.

A long time ago, business and their captains in charge learned that the way to make (((REAL))) money is through the government:

—Mandate the use of a product (vaccines or the Epipen)
—Mandate consumers buy an all new product (new refrigerants)
—Restrict competition
—Restrict the manufacture of a certain product
—Government subsidies (everything from Monsanto, Cargill, to Tesla and GE cash in - much broader than you may think)
—Government purchases
—Government grants (plethora of programs where the government hemorrhages billions, think HIV)
—Big Government Agency and Department contracts

If you look at (((MOST))) of the oligarchs in the US, you realize it is through government that they either entirely or in part became as wealthy and powerful as they did, and that is true for Musk, Gates, Bourla, Soros, Bezos...

Where would Google be today if the NSA/CIA hadn’t picked them as the winner years past? https://qz.com/1145669/googles-true-origin-partly-lies-in-cia-and-nsa-research-grants-for-mass-surveillance

It’s so obscene today, that these businesses try to downplay their profits (it would cause outrage) when they cash in from the government, as Pfizer, Moderna and J&J have off Covid.

Government at the city, county, state and federal level is approaching 1/2 of the entire nations GDP. When you hear that government is 23% of GDP, that is only the federal government and does not include the states, counties or cities: https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide/federal-spending/ (they roughly equal the government as a share of GDP bringing the total over 46%!) It is government that has deep pockets when it comes to spending, but also can influence the regulatory landscape to benefit someone or discourage another.

Ever wonder who buys the art work of Hunter Biden? Who the big donors are to the Clinton Foundation? Who are the people that pay $20 million for a 45 minute speech by B. Clinton, pay $25,000 per plate of chicken and reserve entire round tables at fund raisers, pay millions to lobbyists... If you’re M. Zuckerberg and the FTC is looking at breaking your business up (Antitrust / Sherman Act) because it is a de facto monopoly, who comes to power is very important to you and $320 million spent to “help democracy work (sarc)” is but a small investment in the grand picture: https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/01/business/zuckerberg-300-million-voting/index.html BTW, do you think it is mere coincidence that all the talk of breaking Meta up has just fizzled out?
