So this appeal is likely to take MONTHS until the Supreme Court rules on it. Meanwhile the March 4 J6 trial date is DOA. And if the High Court rules in favor of Trump on presidential immunity then it pretty much DESTROYS case. However, if it rules against Trump there are lots more appeal opportunities to delay delay DELAY until AFTER the election.

The Court of Appeals has first dibs and is already scheduled to take up the matter on January 9th.
The Supreme Court did the right thing.

And the Supreme Court can take its sweet time deciding whether to take up the appeal and can also take its sweet time deliberating and giving a ruling.

The left wants individual state courts to decide who can run for President* because the voters are too stupid to make that decision. I don’t think the Framers would have agreed with them.
*as long as it benefits them.

You seem to think that is a negative. The truth of the matter is, it probably wouldn’t even be taken up in this session.

Trump is going to win for several reasons.
First, he was declared innocent by his peers (Congress) of any Jan 6th charges...and that occurred AFTER Trump had left office.
Clinton was given total immunity for anything thing that occurred while he was in office. Bubba received this "blessing" about 10 minutes before he left the Whitehouse for the last time.
It was NOT an insurrection.
And people have the right to protest. And our history supports it again and again and again.

Maybe if the J6 “insurrections” had set fire to the Capitol, they would have been treated like BLM “protestors” and never have been charged with ANY crime.

have Meathead and other Hollywood idiots weighed in on this?
I remember recently how they were euphoric over the Colorado court decision to delete Trump from the election ballot.

Just reading Dershowitz...We don’t even have a definition for “Insurrection”.

Just to be clear, he was not “declared innocent” of anything - he just was not convicted. In fact, a substantial majority of the Senate voted to convict (57-43), but 67 votes were needed for conviction. While I agree that Trump is not guilty of insurrection, mis-characterizing the facts does not help.
