I inherited this candle holder, it came unglued, it is made of Silver and wood, I think it might be special but nothing comes up on an image search. There is some engraving but it seems to be mostly warn off. If any Freeper can figure it out I will send you 10 bucks in Starbucks or make a freerepublic donation for $20.
You are welcome. If you have a sizeable collection of sterling it is good to get an insurance appraisal that is calculated differently than a retail value. If you have a local appraiser be sure to choose one who is not also hoping to purchase your collection.

I would never sell for scrap, pretty sure I can get much more than silver value
Assuming it is indeed pure silver, no matter where you take it, you''ll be lucky to get 50% of the real value.
That's just the way it is when you're dealing with gold, silver and coin dealers.......I wish you luck.
