Where did you get the idea he knew othing about it?
He made public jokes about his dad buying election victory. His primary victory over Hubert Humphrey in WV is a good example. (Supposedly gave him the momentum to win the Rat primary!)

Probably from some nabob on the History Channel. If I’m wrong so be it. I DO believe he was probably the last Democrat motivated more by patriotism than partisan politics. Hence Presidents no longer wave from open vehicles.

Or one of those creeps C-SPAN loves so much to fill their air-time, spouting their personal opinions as if they were proven facts with the hosts nodding along with silent "Amens".

Since learning that was yet another DNC propaganda tool I ceased letting that play as background noise while doing chores. My apologies.
