John, you’re such a joke. That 1.5 degree C goal is ridiculous. We may be putting a bit of warming gas into the atmosphere, but God is still clearly in charge. All He needs to do is to dim the sun a couple percent, and Floridians will be enjoying snow in the wintertime.

“1.5 C within reach”

Only Arctic summer temperatures could possibly matter.

A Detroit winter four degrees warmer would be a blessing.

The where and when of CO2 emissions could be adjusted - for example, by not burning coal in late spring or summer.

Our northern cities used to have great canopies of elms to keep them cooler in summer.

Recreating them would reduce the need for air conditioning and make the outside of buildings cooler too.

The elms would suck up CO2.

"We will work with partners around the world to phase out unabated coal, an absolutely essential step for keeping 1.5 C within reach. China, of course, is excepted. " Fixed. And not a joke at all. Look it up, oh STEM and truth ignorant leftists.

India and China -- more than two billion in population -- are increasing their use of coal for power generation. I N C R E A S I N G. Period.

The smoke and mirrors from Kerry and his ilk is astounding.

He was misquoted.

“We will work with partners around the world to phase out unabated coal, an absolutely essential step for keeping 1.5 million C notes within reach.”

Coal didn't cause the prior warm periods. Neither did driving pickup trucks. Our Modern Warm Period is simply a natural occurrence that we should be happy we're in. What's not to like about life with higher crop yields, more predictable rain patterns, and less deaths by plague?

We used to know this and used to be happy we lived in the Modern Warm Period ... until the Dims made up the warmageddon cult.

I’ve seen what the removal of coal can do to a state. The 4-Corners used to be a wonderful place to live. Now it is a depressed area.
Two coal fired power plants at Page AZ gone and destroyed.
Two coal fired power plants at Farmington NM gone.
Two coal fired power plants south of Waterflow NM in the process of being destroyed.

And to think, fifty years ago these were great places to live and have a job as more coal plants were planned for that area.
The American Indian Movement got such planned jobs on the reservation shut down. Various “enveronmental” groups got the other planned plants off the reservation shut down.

Obama tried to get our local power plant in the Ozarks shut down but it was so profitable to the company they simply added un needed environmental equipment to remove the last smidgen of sulfur from the coal (a low sulfur Wyoming coal) and it is still running. But for how long?

This from a person operating with no congressional authority and no constitutional basis for committing the US to an unratified treaty. He has zero legal authority.

The problem is republicans and state regulators will act as though his word is law. Time for civil disobedience.

This year both India and China hit records for amount of electricity produced by coal.

The West is ass-clowning itself.
