It’s good to know everything is in its new place. Hopefully mom will like it.

Young ArGee has a friend whose father gets stuck in his recliner and calls for people to come help him out of it. I guess I can count my blessings. Last night I tried to remind F-I-L how to switch his house from heat to cool and back without leaving it off. It did not go well. He has an Internet-enabled thermostat in his future.

But at least he can still walk.

And, yes, his wife should use a cane or a walker. But he derides her for it so she won’t.

After his numerous back surgeries... my Dad broke down and bought one of those electric lift chairs. He’s mobile enough once he’s up... it’s that transition point where he can’t bend at the waist any more that gets him.

If he thought it all the way through, he’d see there’s no downside to supporting her instinct to preemptively ensure her longer term mobility; he’s a direct beneficiary.
