John Cleese and Michael Palin were absolutely the best in writing sketches. I think their entire association was nothing more than feeding off each other’s comedic genius.

I heard an interesting bit with Cleese recently. And he commented that he was surprised at how people mispronounce his name. As he said, “Have you ever heard anyone ask for a piece of cheese? But he said cheese with the hard s that I’ve always used for his last name.

So now I know how to pronounce it.
