🤣
Overcast and mid- upper-50’s today with a bit of rain rolling through just in time for the evening commuters.
Seemingly many choices in the Wordlesphere today, except that I’ve noted Wordle doesn’t do plurals, so you’ll never get bamboozled by a four-letter noun turned into a five-letter Wordle by simply making it a plural.

I just now put the chocolate chip pie in the oven and have almost an hour to wait for it to be ready to come out and be munched on.
Mmmm...I can hardly wait! Whipped cream at the ready! (Unless you prefer a dollop of ice cream!) ;o])
Bad night. I had a panic attack around 2:00 and came downstairs and fed Jake and let him out, and then turned on an audiobook with a boring narrator and fell asleep on the sofa.
Envirothon went very well for most of us. The middle school girls team (which does not include Kathleen, because she’s with boys) is having teen-girl drama. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Frank’s team identified all the trees correctly, and that’s not easy this time of year. Vlad’s team missed one.
Tom starts his new job next week. DP was out with him last night, and Tom said someone from the new employer will pick him up at his apartment and drive him to their office, where they will issue him a company car.
Elen called recently. She said her firefighting unit might go to Texas, could Vlad come take care of her cats. I suggested a pet-sitting business might be more economical.
Nothing from Bill recently.
I’m so very sorry about your panic attack. But at least you were able to go back to sleep.
YAY for Frank’s team!!
Wellnow. Isn’t that nice about having a company car? I hope it’s not electric... I also hope this is the job Tom has really been looking for.
Yes, I agree with you: A pet-sitting service may be more economical than sending Vlad out.
Annette, having recently lost her dog of 16 years, went to the animal sanctuary in Kanab, and came home with a “big cat.” I’m not sure what that means, but I’ll ask her to take a photo of it, since I don’t know where she lives and I’ve never been invited to her house.
All I know is that I’m getting more anxious about a cat and may drive out to the shelter soon.
Brain hurts!
At least my old cibie halogens had an obvious cut off height to prevent this.
No brain.
no pain...
I doubt it’s an electric car. I hope he’ll be happy with the job, too.
I’ve seen a lot of news articles about problems people have when traveling with EVs, especially when they can’t find a charging station.
I’m thinking of marking a solution. I could create a specially formed gas-powered electrical generator that fits in the trunk of your EV and has adapters for all the popular vehicles.
Whaddya think?
Sounds like a fire hazard.
Well, we could design the fuel tank of the generator so that it will not allow a gas vapor to build up in the tank. That way there’s no fire hazard. It would add some cost, though.
If a person can afford an EV, they aren’t going to be worried about the extra cost of a generator...
Isn’t that kind of what a hybrid engine is?
Well, I guess the ultimate solution to the whole thing is just to have a gas powered engine. Maybe one day they’ll invent that.
We had an old farm cat that looked almost exactly like today’s floof. She was very good at keeping mice out of the house.
Good morning. I hope last night was better for you than the night before.
All I have going today is the eye appointment and sorting pills.
It’s 47° with a high expected of only 10 degrees higher and possible rain. Maybe it will rain while I’m driving and wash some of the sand off.
I don’t know how I missed that!
Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
M-I-L fell again last night. She was in a much easier place for us to get her up, but when she got up she didn’t seem to be able to put much weight on her right leg. She said nothing hurt, but I don’t think she tells us the truth.
We trudged her walker back up from the basement and told them to stop putting it down there. Before we left we made sure she could get to the bathroom if necessary, but I think she really didn’t want to move any more.
F-I-L started demonstrating how he uses the TV to create a nightlight when they get up at night and got into a loop of showing me over and over. I didn’t realize that this became a track he couldn’t get his mind out of. Mrs. ArGee finally just said, “Dad, we’re leaving!” and we left. Hopefully they made it through the night OK.
I guess I got some better Wordle juice this morning or something.
