120 killed? WTF? So, my understanding is that Joe-on-the Street Israelis get to own a firearm and 50 rounds of ammunition.
Suggestion: Joe, and his wife and kids over age 13 each get an AR-15, initial and recurrent training, and lotsa ammo.

Hamas and America do not understand, imho, that there is a new era now. The Hamas slaughter of unarmed innocents and mass kidnapping of hostages is a turning point for Israelis. Israel will never return to the paradigm that existed before October 7. Hamas is an existential threat to Israel, to jews and to Israelis, as well as to all jews and their supporters in the diaspora. It marks the end of Israel’s coexistence with an Iran (Russia) funded proxy enemy of Islamist Hamas being tolerated adjacent to Israel. Hamas exists no more, its is only a matter of time to reach their eradication. So far Gaza City has been entered and is being cleansed of the enemy. Next will be Khan Yunis. It will take another 2 months of door to door eradication of Hamas. Gaza will not be resettled for many years, and the UN will not be allowed to return and provide infrastructure for the Hamas Islamist Jihad criminals.
The problem here is the Koran teachings for islamists to kill all the jews. Hamas has widespread support because the “religion” is a barbaric middle ages civil code. Gaza should be scrubbed of all Islam. It is not a “religion of peace”, contrary to all the lying claims of supporters including many American politicians and news agencies. It is a religion of death and destruction, rooted in Satanic origins.

Was watching some video of IDF tanks in Gaza City - in ruins. Folks were trying to figure out what Hamas was thinking by poking the tiger. One person made a good point - that perhaps Hamas thought that the IDF would come in with small patrols of soldiers doing small raids, searching for the hostages and the leaders of Hamas. And then Hamas could pop up out of their tunnels and pick them off and then scamper back underground.
Perhaps Hamas was led to believe that Israel’s actions would be moderated by world outcry against an actual war. Perhaps Hamas had also thought that Israel’s benevolence towards the people of Gaza and allowing workers to come into Israel to earn a living was taken as a sign of weakness.
So you think the Jews should be unarmed in their own country?
That’s how this happened imo. Even arming them won’t stop attacks. It will just minimize the impact of attacks.
