What a haunting song. This is from John Lennon' demo he made in 1977. Yoko gave the demo to Paul McCartney while they were making the Anthology in 1994. They couldn't have pulled it off without Peter Jackson and former Beatles producer George Martin's son, Giles. Nevertheless enjoy the song.

Yes,many people did.
Wonderful. I didn’t tear up, those were allergies. Thank you for posting!
So Paul and Wings were failures? Hm…
You’re welcome!
Was never an avid Beetle fan in the 60’s but over the years they have grown on me...liked the song thanks.
I have been a fan for years. You’re welcome!
Nice song. But the AI inputted clip removes something from the music. Just something missing.
Well, that certainly brought back some memories. Definitely was well done...
No allergies here but that bow at the end certainly was the signoff to the end of an era of a lot of misspent youth... even if that era was only extended because of technology.
Excellent song...so Beatle-ey.
I really miss that band. The whole was so much better than the parts.
I basically agree. It’s a decent song, but the combining of images and video from different time periods - and/or images created via AI - makes it kind of weird and unsettling to me.
I felt the mix of different dated images gave the video a compilation feel. Kind of compendium.
And of the three songs from the tape (this one and Free As A Bird and Real Love) I prefer this one.
If you play the record backwards you will hear John Lennon & George Harrison are dead.
Lol
Suuurrrre!
No,they weren’t failures commercially...absolutely not. Artistically? You betcha!
Beato seems to have mixed feelings about it. He liked some aspects of the song quite a bit but thought the production was too modern. His parting line was something like “some things are best left unattempted” IIRC.
I like the song but don’t love it. But stuff tends to grow on me so I’ll just have to see how it goes.
I did think the last scene in the video was poignant where the young Beatles take a bow and then fade away leaving the bandstand empty.
It’s not a hit by any means. Side B filler.
Wow.
Just....Wow.
A lot of memories.
Thanks~
“ I am unimpressed and underwhelmed.”
I agree. Crazy crazy Beatles fan here, but the song is cliché driven and derivative. I applaud the efforts for sure, but sometimes songs aren’t meant to be recorded and released.
If you’re enjoying it, i am glad for you.
Make it a Wonderful Day.
“ So Paul and Wings were failures? Hm…”
My daughter would describe things like Wings’ music as
“Ordinary Cat Food.”
