Cute video. Amazing that the puppy learned so quickly and with only mama showing him.
Adorable - thanks....
Ping!
I was teaching my cat to use the pet door. She was annoyed to be shoved through it three times. Then, you could see the realization dawn. She turned and raced through the door, turned back and did it the other way, and then a third time. It was like discovering an interdimensional tunnel to a new world. Her fur stuck out like it was charged with static. (Wish I could be half as excited about anything...)
Cutie....very lovely to see animal mamas take care of their offspring. Too bad so many human mamas don’t share that trait. What’s worse is the politicians who, in order to get votes from the intransigent baby abandoners, facilitate the abuse and murder of undesired children.
I have tried to teach my 2 cats how to use the pet flap in the pet gate leading to the basement. They keep trying to go through the bars of the gate instead of pushing on the translucent swinging flap. I have showed them and showed them, sprayed catnip spray on it, etc., but no go. I have to keep a small bungee cord strung across it, anchored on the bars, to keep it slightly open. Then they have no problem going up and down the basement stairs. This is puzzling, as otherwise they are super-smart cats.
Thanks! Much needed!
Had a female shih tzu.
Then we got a male shih tzu.
the female housebroke the male.
If he messed up, she would chew his butt.
She wouldn’t let him eat from the dog bowl.
If he was hungry, he was to lay down a few feet from the bowl and bark.
She would then fetch him a mouthful of dog food.
If he wanted more, she would fetch more.
I crawled through the doggie doors in both directions several times to show my German shepherds how it’s done. At 210 pounds it wasn’t easy for me.
I got my lab to learn how to use his doggy door pretty quickly.
Step 1. I put his food outside.
Step 2. I held the flap open and then when he went through gently let it come down and brush his back.
Step 3 the next time I pushed the flap but did not hold it entirely open. He had to push it fully up to get to his food.
Within 1 day or two he was using it like a pro.
I’m not sure that Goose is a mother.
Snakes do the same thing
