Food stamps should be like the WIC program. Very restrictive on what you can buy and they must be healthy foods. Those hippos typically have carts full of junk food processed foods oh and of course a steak or two.

SNAP is just another "feed 'em and breed 'em" program. I also see plenty of junk food, frozen prepared meals, etc. in the carts of people paying for their stuff with food stamp cards. And they are not dressed shabbily either.
I have seen Hispanics pull up to the checkout line with several overflowing carts and pull out a stack of EBT cards from different states to pay for stuff.
Collapse the welfare system using crimmigrants. Noice.

Not that the government should be doing charity work to begin with, but adding illegals to the mix only exacerbates the socialist boondogle.
It needs to be fixed, but government incompetence and lack of logic will screw it up even worse before they actually do any good.
Unfortunately in this economy there are a whole bunch of righteous honest families and older retired folks who actually do need a little help from SNAP. It is just that little difference of being able to pay their utility bills or not every month. Some veterans are homeless and living in the streets.
What about these folks who are not abusing the system and really need it? Is it moral to make them starve, or become homeless, or dig in trashcans to feed their children?

Government has no place in charity.
It’s not moral for someone else to take my $$ and give it away.
Charity is for me and you to give as we see fit.
When the government seizes your money to give it to someone else, that is NOT charity.

In that context then there should be no tax credits, utility discounts, medicare, veteran’s benefits, or Social Security. These are government forced charities also.
I would agree except no one does give. We live in an immoral greedy sadistic culture where the well off would eat a steak in front of someone who is starving to death rather than give one dime as charity. Supporting the local Indian Casino is more important than feeding people.
If we as a “civilized nation” allow our own to starve to death in a “strongest shall survive” environment, then we are no better than primitive caveman and third world.
