I remember reading that the FBI was tracking people by their credit cards. I recall reading a post by a woman who had attended Trump's speech with her husband. She said they didn't go to the Capitol Building because she wasn't feeling well, so they went back to their hotel. The FBI tracked them down from the credit card they used at the hotel.

I also recall reading a post on patriots.win by a guy who posted on social media that he was going to attend that day. He never got to go, because as a business owner, he ended up working that day because of staff shortages. He has closed circuit cameras at his business, so he was on video that day at his place of work. The FBI showed up, and questioned him about his having been in Washington that day. He showed them the video of him working that day, and they left without even apologizing for inconveniencing him.

A black woman and her father who live in Maryland attended Trump's speech. They left right after, to go get something to eat. Never went to the Capitol Building. When the FBI showed up to her home to question her, she had turned on the recording mechanism on her phone, and recorded the whole conversation, and posted it on YouTube.
