An author david Brog said recently the same decisive strategy worked against enemies of Russia and China.
Russia overwhelming the Muslim Chechnyans and China doing the same to the Muslim Uyghurs. Effective and killed a huge amount of the enemy.

He said Israel is too morally good to do that to the enemies today. It will not go all out like that.
My cynical question as usual: Does Israel think it will get the Good Little Boy Award? There isn’t one and the world will condemn them even while they allow loss of soldiers and civilians Israelis lives while sparing the enemy.
