Christopher Wright was a well-known businessman in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He had a good life. A married man. Three children – including a newborn.
The other day he was in downtown for a high school reunion – meeting up with alumni from The Baylor School.
Mr. Wright was accosted on the street by a career criminal. He was shot in the head and he died at a nearby hospital.
The killer is a man named Darryl Roberts. Over the years this thug has been arrested and charged at least 66 times.
In 2003 he pulled a knife on a TJ Maxx security guard who tried to stop him from shoplifting.
In 2009 he pulled a gun on a store clerk. And in 2010 he fired rounds into a house during a home invasion.
He’s been arrested more than five dozen times, but the New York Post reports he’s never served more than sixth months behind bars.
Our justice system is broken. Defund the police, bail reform. Progressive policies that are putting all of our lives in danger.
And now a little baby — born just eight weeks ago — will never know her father.

My Grandfather was a member of the KKK. It was a whole lot more about warnings and actions against people who would not do right. Beat your wife, hurt your kids, don't take care of your responsibilities or debts, generally behave in an uncivilized and socially unacceptable manner? You get a cross burned in your yard. Next time you get drug out of the house, tarred and feathered and carried out of town on a rail. Third time. Well, third times weren't usually necessary but they were the last time. No more warnings.
I am one of the few who remain that don't need to read history in any form to know about those times. I got the history first hand when I was a kid from people who were alive when it happened.
Pretty crude huh? Well, it worked. What passes for justice now isn't working at all.
The gang in "To Kill a Mockingbird" had the right idea but the wrong man. We know who the right people are now. "Alleged" is just a technical term now, in most cases it has no meaning.

Unfortunately, its turning into an Eastern version of Memphis. It used to be a vibrant, family-friendly city with a great outdoor atmosphere. I considered retiring there.
When are people going to realize that in today’s USA the Democrats have turned criminal loose to commit whatever crimes they feel like and then realize the 2nd Amendment was written to alloe people to protect themselves from criminals and from an out of control government?
