A lot of us who support Trump think he was doing the best he could with the pandemic. He isn’t any kind of virologist or other scientific expert, and in the beginning there was a lot of suspicion about Covid and well-founded fear - nobody really knew what it was or where it came from, and if anyone did, they didn’t talk about it.
At least Trump has always called it what it is: The China Virus - instead of pushing the notion that it came naturally from a bat in a very faraway cave, or other such nonsense. And put together with everything else Trump accomplished, it’s a small part of my assessment.
Trump should debate him. They can talk about why the president didn’t go through with the Vaccine Safety Commission and why Kennedy jumped ship. If there was no payout and pharma shills were indeed not high in his administration it should be fairly straightforward to oppose.
