No state shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation; grant letters of marque and reprisal; coin money; emit bills of credit; make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts . . .
States cannot emit money, but they MUST ONLY require gold and silver coin as legal tender, making eliminating such currency unconstitutional.
That would be interesting to see the Court handle it.
The dolts that think this is about convenience have no idea about control.
Many local businesses here in Florida have signs asking for cash with warnings of digital control. We pay cash. Tips are much more appreciated when in cash, too.
These place know they will be cut out from the banking system for their political beliefs. Ask any gun store owner or firearms business as bank cancel their accounts.
“They simplify payments and also allow you to use a digital wallet to link your credit card or bank account.“
LOL
You don’t think that the DEA and IRS won’t track those bank accounts?

It is not about ‘cash’ per se...
Digital allows them surveillance and control.

They freaking know it is happening. You on the other hand, still have not fully caught on to what is about to destroy your freedom.
And yet, we never learn or change. Too late now.
All because we are too lazy to physically pull a card out of our pocket.
The thieves probably don’t have a card. Well, EBT.
And I know of stories of people with EBT stealing .......
“Plastic is convenient.”
There it is right there. The root is pure laziness before liberty. I’m sure your new masters will reward you well for being so obedient and loyal to the enslavement agenda of the State. Maybe they will make you a Kapo and give you extra rations now and then for your loyalty...
Well, for Amazon One you have to use your cellphone (based on the photos I’ve seen).
To me, that’s less convenient than a credit card / debit card.
Gee, now what if there was a scan-able tattoo on the right hand or the forehead...............

The Digital Dollar will save us! Yeah, That’s the ticket!
(worth it to watch just the first 17 minutes - there will be no way to “prosper”, though)

(Google’s YouTube, amazingly, kept popping this up on my recommended playlist on the side - so I finally watched the beginning of it - ignore the sales pitch and watch the first part I recommended above)
They are also already doing the same thing with store discount/rewards cell phone apps. And half the time folks don’t know how to use the app correctly so the checker has to help. By they time they get done messing with the app it would have been faster to just count out cash and give change.
I went to the Post Office this morning and they would not accept cash, only credit and debit cards.
The USD, dollar, is to be accepted for all debts . No one is challenging the denial of cash.
Q: I thought that United States currency was legal tender for all debts. Some businesses or governmental agencies say that they will only accept checks, money orders or credit cards as payment, and others will only accept currency notes in denominations of $20 or smaller. Isn’t this illegal?
A: The pertinent portion of law that applies to your question is the Coinage Act of 1965, specifically Section 31 U.S.C. 5103, entitled “Legal tender,” which states: “United States coins and currency (including Federal reserve notes and circulating notes of Federal reserve banks and national banks) are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues.”
The business that does not accept cash is in violation, unless State law states differently, ie, bus tokens, etc… a gray area that needs to be addressed.
I am not a Constitutional lawyer- but as the Federal Reserve has been chosen to administer our digital cash- would not the current regulation have to be changed? Voted on?
I don’t see many in Congress nipping cashless in the bud. I do believe Florida outlawed a cashless system….the Godly need to fight this “ sovereign digital currency “, quickly.
print the coinage...
no mention of a digital dollar.
there has to be tangibility.
Once you’re on the enemies list, CBDCs can be used to freeze your bank accounts. This happened to the Freedom Convoy drivers in Canada in January 2022.

Absolutely.
