Certain mods here are on a real power trip. They’re biased, have their favorites and are certainly not impartial. They don’t even try to hide it. That’s the way it’s been forever.

Years ago I was arguing with a FReeper in a General Chat thread. She got huffy, put on her admin mod hat, and deleted my posts.
Ever since then, my contributions to this site have been impacted.
If it's because the election trolls who pop up here every four years to disrupt and hijack threads and divide and insult long-time FReepers as idiots, fools, and ists are allowed to prey unimpeded, then the terrorists will have won.

There it is right there... All it takes is once or twice.
Begs a question of priorities. Retention or purism?
I will go on to say that this thread is a rare exception to the rule.
There are quite often threads like this that ask answers as to why the mods did this or that.
Mods never answer.
But here they did. Several times. I’ll give them credit for that.
Actually I will give credit for that too. And reading between the lines I suspect the whole thing may have started with a “partial” unintentional mistake.
But administration never makes mistakes. And even if they do they will never admit it or apologize for the mistake.
It is below their station to even address it or be transparent about it. Right or wrong they are the boss and that is the end of it period. Members are not humans, no reason to explain, they are just a username in text.
I have dealt with this as a domain owner for many years now. In my book, mod controls or not, they are no more important than any other member of the community and should exercise common courtesy just as they themselves expect from the usernames.
You can’t expect courtesy on the board and reward it with lack of courtesy. It creates animosity against the whole domain.
