Two years ago today I used poet Stuart Piggott's image, "..... new from old treasure / is this year's miraculous / rebirth in the harvest." as a prompt to make this appeal to conservative Church going Australian Prime Minister of the time, Scott Morrison:
"Now, as the society I live in is destroying its own humanity with lockdowns of itself, I look to a deeply Christian Prime Minister to stand up strong against ignorant tyranny for freedom's sake."
ScoMo was no Trump, DeSantis or Greg Abbott but he tried to hold back the anti-freedom excesses of state governments which gave Australia some of the worst lockdowns in the world.
ScoMo lost an election to Socialist Left Labor Party leader Anthony Albanese who has announced an enquiry into past federal pandemic policies which were not the real problem.
The Australian Financial Review describes the Albanese enquiry like this:
"The decision to exempt the states from the long-awaited inquiry into Australia’s pandemic response has been slammed by business, health experts, economists and non-Labor politicians, who say the country will fail to learn the lessons needed for next time."
Such is life under Socialist Left government.
It's all about centralising government power.
People's needs come last.

I remember watching the coppers chase down people in the parks and streets and then issue a good beating. The crime? Being outdoors.
