Epps entered Capitol grounds on Jan. 6 as a supporter of former President Donald Trump. He told the Jan. 6 committee that the conspiracy theories about him ruined his life.
WASHINGTON — Ray Epps, a Jan. 6 participant whose removal from the FBI's Capitol Violence webpage sparked conspiracy theories that he was a federal informant, was charged in connection with the Capitol attack on Tuesday.
Epps is charged with one misdemeanor count, disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds. He was charged by information, which suggests that he plans to enter a plea deal.
The criminal information charges that Epps "did knowingly, and with intent to impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, engage in disorderly and disruptive conduct in and within such proximity to, a restricted building and grounds—that is, any posted, cordoned-off, and otherwise restricted area within the United States Capitol and its grounds, where the Vice President was and would be temporarily visiting—when and so that such conduct did in fact impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, and attempted and conspired to do so."
Most of the thousands who unlawfully gathered on the restricted grounds of the U.S. Capitol have not been charged unless they engaged in some sort of aggravating conduct, like attacking police or destroying property. Video shows that Epps attempted to deescalate tensions between the police and rioters, though he's also shown with his hands on a giant Trump sign the rioters jammed into the police line. A federal judge acquitted another Jan. 6 participant who had his hand on that same sign, saying that his intent was unclear.

Nah, because they could charge him with some other crime besides the misdemeanor they are charging him with, and double jeopardy would not come into play.
But I expect that part of the plea deal will be that he receives immunity from further prosecution for anything the feds know about that he did that day. So even if Biden loses, that deal will remain in place and tie the hands of the next people in charge of the DOJ.
He was on video giving directions, telling people what to do, insisting they had to go into the Capitol Building, not just on Jan. 6th, but the evening before. The fact that they ended up charging him for only one misdemeanor after they had to be humiliated into doing so, proves explicitly that he was working for the Feds.
This proves Epps was a federal Asset. In case there’s any doubt remaining that will be removed at the trial with Fox- Discovery!
A light tap on the wrist with a cotton ball.
Revolver did great reporting on Epps, revealing that his photo mysteriously disappeared overnight from the FBI website requesting citizens' help in identifying faces in the crowd during the Capitol Caper. (A case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing, perhaps?)
Somehow, I doubt Epps is going to get 20 years. This is the equivalent of the Hunter Biden plea deal that ended up getting thrown out. Maybe we can get a judge to do the same for Epps.
Epps said he was told that he was on a wanted poster as soon as he arrived home, so he called the FBI himself right away, and that’s why he was removed from the wanted list.

We don’t give a damn about charging Epps — we want the ones who gave him the marching orders.
A salmon bone.
Nope he’s part of Team MPGA. Make Pelosi Great Again.
Thinking they’ll cite Epps’ juciest acts and then just tank the prosecution, resulting in a Not Guilty verdict, giving Epps reliable protection from future prosecution based on a theory of Double Jeopardy. OTIH, this kind of corruption might be hard to coordinate with Epps’ attys and to then pull off the scam before a federal Article III district court judge.
What a load.
Cover up
Right up there with Hunter Biden.
