Epps entered Capitol grounds on Jan. 6 as a supporter of former President Donald Trump. He told the Jan. 6 committee that the conspiracy theories about him ruined his life.
WASHINGTON — Ray Epps, a Jan. 6 participant whose removal from the FBI's Capitol Violence webpage sparked conspiracy theories that he was a federal informant, was charged in connection with the Capitol attack on Tuesday.
Epps is charged with one misdemeanor count, disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds. He was charged by information, which suggests that he plans to enter a plea deal.
The criminal information charges that Epps "did knowingly, and with intent to impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, engage in disorderly and disruptive conduct in and within such proximity to, a restricted building and grounds—that is, any posted, cordoned-off, and otherwise restricted area within the United States Capitol and its grounds, where the Vice President was and would be temporarily visiting—when and so that such conduct did in fact impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, and attempted and conspired to do so."
Most of the thousands who unlawfully gathered on the restricted grounds of the U.S. Capitol have not been charged unless they engaged in some sort of aggravating conduct, like attacking police or destroying property. Video shows that Epps attempted to deescalate tensions between the police and rioters, though he's also shown with his hands on a giant Trump sign the rioters jammed into the police line. A federal judge acquitted another Jan. 6 participant who had his hand on that same sign, saying that his intent was unclear.

A Thank You to Tucker....at least this is a START!
The plea deal is just another coverup. Epps will take one for the team (FBI/CIA/Biden). He will be rewarded with a book deal which he will see a seven digit advance when only several thousand copies will be sold. Perhaps he will get a regular gig on CNN, MSNBC or FauxNews.
My theory is Epps has BEGGED them to CHARGE him.
“It’s not going away! They keep asking questions. It has been YEARS and they are not letting it go!”
FBI, Well there are a few more charges... but if you agree to be of further assistance then maybe they...MMMM... disapear....
Ray, OK, OK!
Fed, Fed, Fed!
So the FIB's pet will not be going to the DC gulag?
He will not be asked any questions about his actions on J6?
And WHERE IS THE 1400 HOURS OF VIDEO FROM THAT DAY?
Ray Epps is lucky he wasn’t charged with spitting on the sidewalk.
Yes, the protester begins to disassemble the barrier right after Epps whispers in his ear, also not mentioned in this article.
“Epps is charged with one misdemeanor count...”
Which he will probably plead to in exchange for a slap on the wrist. That will conclude his case and there will be no more investigations, questions, etc.
Exactly, he needs this charge to get immunity should a real prosecutor get appointed.
Much like the whole Hunter Biden fiasco that fell through.
Do not believe a word of it. He is an agent provocateur. Works for either Fibbies or Langley in all probability.
He’ll probably be given a fine, the money for which will miraculously appear, but Epps will claim he is ruined by it.
The plea deal will probably be sealed so no one will know where and for how long he is sentenced. He’ll probably get an all expense (taxpayers) trip to some tropical resort to pay his debt to society as a snowbird.
It’s all for show or he could have easily been the one first prosecuted. But that would have broken the deal he had with Nancy.
EC
There’s that two-tiered justice at work again.
“the money for which will miraculously appear”
Yes, like Hunter. We can only wonder if the IRS makes sure the appropriate taxes are paid on it.
This MOFO Epps is the only January 6er the media defends day in day out!
The way it was found out that he was charged is linked to the charge being already connected to a plea deal.
This is just a technical way to give Epps immunity, without officially doing so.
This stinks to high heaven!
Is being held in jail without bond or a trial date? If not, he’s getting special treatment.
People languish in jail while this guy gets one misdemeanor charge. Your DOJ at work.
