The O’Keefe Media Group filed a lawsuit this week against Hawaii’s Democrat Governor Josh Green and the County of Maui after being told he could not take photographs or video on public land during a trip to investigate the aftermath of the devastating fires that burned the area to the ground.
In hidden camera footage taken during the investigation, law enforcement officers in the devastated area told OMG journalists that due to the governor’s emergency order in response to the fires, they were prohibited from taking pictures or video on public land and even threatened founder James O’Keefe with arrest if he refused to cease

what part of the text of the First Amendment are they confused about?
That's a nice Constitution you have there, but the Governor says it's no good here.
Gotta love all these Governors who think they have unlimited powers.
That young man keeps his lawyers on speed-dial.
this is new
journalists are not usually restricted from reporting natural disasters
something is up
These emergency decrees sure are handy. “Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Pretty cool.”
Excellent!!
Good for O’Keefe.
Where are the lawsuits from all of the other outlets??
.>>> crickets <<<
The part they don’t like.
So what will these rogue governors try next? Violate the rights 2’nd Amendment?
Oh wait...
Yep.
With respect to all the good cops...it just doesn’t seem as though police are well taught basic constitutional rights.
You, the government, don’t get to just declare they don’t apply when you say. If that is what you do then you should also be well taught about what the required response is.
I know we have more cop videos than ever but there’s so many examples of them just not understanding the fundamental concepts behind inalienable rights. ...starting with when they say “we got a call” and what that does and doesn’t mean respective to their authority, where many seem to believe your rights just vanish. 1A thru 5A...especially.
“ natural disasters”
That’s a good one! Made laugh!
🤣😅😂
Unless they are homeschooled then they are products of our corrupt education system that dumbs them down and inculcates them with revisionist 'history,' hate America, hate white people, obscene sex education (Sex Pol in the Soviet Union), and so on.
They put up fences to block view.
And they claim the tarps are to catch dust/ash/asbestos.
Some people actually believe that tripe.
They’re trying to cover up all the malfeasance created by the officials all the way up to Governor.
Thanks. I didn’t know they’d provided a fake excuse.
Maybe if we lived there and were directly affected by the fire we might be getting better info, I don’t know. But I think this is pretty much an open pit crematorium and they don’t want every damn fool and ghoul taking pictures of the dead just to post on facebook. People suck.
