An article totally unrelated to Ron DeSantis, yet he still lives so rent free in your head that you have to make note of his name.

Why is that? Why are you so afraid of Ron DeSantis?

I think you have your cranial tenants bass ackwards.

You won’t find any argument from me regarding every last remaining Bush in the family, either by birth or marriage.

“Key witness says staff had no evidence of Paxton crime”

From the link:

“On the third day of the impeachment trial of suspended Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a former deputy attorney general who was fired for insubordination, and who later sued claiming wrongful termination, said he and other former staffers had no evidence to support their claim that Paxton allegedly committed a crime.”

From the Just the News article linked above:

“In response to allegations that Paxton accepted a bribe to renovate his home in Article 10, Vassar said, “I don’t know the elements of bribery. I am not a criminal lawyer.”

“Do you know who paid for the Paxton kitchen renovations?” Little asked. “No,” Vassar replied. “I have no direct knowledge.” In response to questions about the allegations, he said, “I think it was [about] redoing the kitchen counter tops.”

In June, Tony Buzbee, lead attorney for Paxton, held a news conference showing photos of receipts and insurance claims for Paxton’s kitchen renovations. The Center Square also obtained copies of receipts at the time, which show that Paxton paid for the renovations.”

Me too. Then I’d like Trump to name him as his running mate. Ken Paxton is a MAGA patriot.

There are a lot of things being exposed.

The Legislature ran a Kangaroo Court to get this to the Senate.

Now, with Dan Patrick running the proceeding it is very methodically run.

When I found the C-Span video, It removed the blabber of 3 talking heads from an earlier link from WFAA TV.(ABC propaganda)

"The Senate Live Video Broadcast" is the best source I've found.

Thanks

It takes patience and time to view it all, but I am watching most of it.

It is very thorough and so far no open hostility.

There are many plots running in the background.

Bushies plotting, DPS oldies not realizing what the FBI currently is, young bureaucraps who are very narrow in view and shallow in reality, media talking heads who are spinning and spinning what is happening and there are a number of long term state officials who remain solid and have contained it so far.

The real crime was looking to the Fed Gov for a solution to what some thought were a serious problem and others saw it as a play for power.

Texas politics has always been a tough sport.

“at Mena Airport”

The Airstrip was at Nella (in the woods).

I’ve been to Mena many times. Know local business men there.

Long ago.

That is not Perot. That is George Wallace.

Never said anything about Perot.

Bush threw that election to Clinton.

BJC was an asset when he was young.

GHW Bush knew him. He was for a time accepted as almost family.

Sounds crazy, but the Mena AR mess brought strange characters together.

I’ve been personal friends with Tony Buzbee for many years. He is a personal injury trial lawyer who has collected billions for his clients. He was a Recon Marine and one day picked up an LSAT another Marine had. He read it and thought it was easy. With his mostly photographic memory Tony can read though mountains of evidence and keep it in his head. I’ve seen him do this firsthand.

His first big criminal case was defending Rick Perry from the Commiecrat nut cases in Austin. Tony mopped the floor with them.

He was a Democrat for many years, even I was surprised one day when I texted him one evening and he said “I’m going to a presidential debate”. I said “the only debate today is the Republican debate” to which he replied “I’m on a plane with Rick Perry”. I would later meet Rick Perry at one of Tony’s Christmas parties. Perry went to Texas A&M like Tony did. An odd tidbit about Rick Perry is that he never forgets a name of someone. I sat next to him for an hour watching him greet people by name and at times asking them about their extended family members by each of their names. That’s a bit ironic because Perry forgot the name of one of the agencies during the debate I mention above. The reason for this was because he had messed up his back and was on sedatives. Perry had a bad back, knees, elbows and shoulders. Amazingly all of his issues were eventually mostly cured by his own stem cells. That’s an interesting story in itself.

I’d guess that Tony got involved in this case because he figured out by looking at mountains of evidence what the heck the truth is. Tony is a great friend to have and a terrifying enemy. I once had a legal issue and at one point was in a face-to-face informal conference with the other side. The main attorney sitting across from me was a smarmy egotistical pr*ck. A $500 a dollar attorney. I was pissing him off by turning my back to him while he was doing a power point presentation on a TV. The pompous jerk would say something, and I’d turn around and say “I knew that, please tell me something I don’t know” then turn back around and look out the window. At one point I said “wait a second” when my phone rang and I put my phone on the conference table. A voice on the speaker said “Hi, this is Tony Buzbee and I am now the attorney of record on this case. This conference is over and my client is leaving”. The arrogant attorney on the other side of the table who was wearing a $2,500 suit turned white and the two lawyers with him gasped. I got up and walked out. A few days later I was paid all the $$ I wanted. what was Tony’s bill? Zero.

I’m pretty certain the most interesting aspects of the Paxton case are to come. FYI, once a case is over and the jury has reached a verdict Tony never comes back into court to hear the verdict, I’m curious to see if he does that here.
