the globohomo neoCON satanic warmongers are not going to like this one bit.
Musk has been chiding Ukraine for ineffectual and wasteful tactics and strategies, for quite a while now. Consistently so. Ukraine shouldn’t be surprised at his refusal at this late date.
“Asking Musk to enter into war with Russia isn’t right.”
I disagree; if you were attacked and were grossly outnumbered and out-gunned you’d ask for some assistance, as well. Oh, wait: Maybe you are one of those spineless twerps who would surrender at the least sign of aggression. In any event Musk had every right to reject the request, and he did so. I do not criticize Musk for refusing; I criticize the posters who wax indignant that Ukraine even asked him for assistance.
Blah blah, same old black and white thinking.
“He’s a civilian, and obviously not a Neocon.”
You guys are criticizing Ukraine for asking for assistance in defending itself. How Putin of you.
No. No. I hate that idea.
It was our government who asked Musk, not the Ukraine. Come back when you understand what's happening.
I doubt anyone is being critical about Ukraine wanting the assistance. They’re critical of the US government asking for it of a US citizen.
“You deny bombing Sevastopol and damaging the fleet there would escalate to nuclear war? You’re not thinking clearly.”
Yes, I am. They are legitimate targets in this war. Russia knows they are legitimate targets, and so does everyone else.
Only a pro-Russia hack would screech that they are not legitimate targets. And Ukraine attacking those targets is not a pretext for nuclear war. Put down the crack pipe.
Thank you Elon Musk!
We now know why Secretary of State Antony Blinken was sent to Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.
100%
“Musk has been chiding Ukraine for ineffectual and wasteful tactics and strategies, for quite a while now. Consistently so. Ukraine shouldn’t be surprised at his refusal at this late date.”
That’s not the crux of the thread. Merely ASKING Musk for assistance has the pro-Russia trolls all in a tizzy and hyperventilating about nuclear war.
I have no issue with Musk saying no; it is his right. But I do have an issue with pro-Russia FReepers who have sensationalized the matter.
“Blah blah, same old black and white thinking.”
It’s called logic, which is something wholly alien to you.
Sinking the Russian fleet at anchor isn’t ‘logic’ it’s comic book madness.
if Ukraine had half the IQ of Mexico, it would have refrained from antagonizing its super power neighbor. Mexico never tried to form alliance with US enemy powers.
People on here are saying or assuming the Ukrainian government contacted Musk with the request. If that was the case, Musk would be in violation of the Hatch Act, which prohibits private US citizens from conducting foreign policy on their own. And would subject Musk to indictment and prosecution. My reading of this instead is, it was our government itself who contacted Musk with the request. None of this makes any sense otherwise.
Sinking the Russian fleet ant anchor is the best way to sink them. You get the ship and screw up the port.
They aren’t ducks. You dont have to wait until they are underway to shoot them.
They (Mexico) were approached by the Germans in 1916 but nothing came of it. That was a major factor in the decision to go to war against Germany.
“It was our government who asked Musk, not the Ukraine. Come back when you understand what’s happening.”
Too funny! The first line of the thread is: “Elon just confirmed the U.S or Ukranian Government requested him to play a significant role in a MAJOR ESCALATION in the Ukraine war.”
Did you get that, kid? OR UKRAINIAN? Even the author doesn’t know. But, you? You will not pass up any opportunity — no matter how contrived — to denigrate and condemn the United States. Your bias is showing, kid.
To call it ‘escalatory’ is actually lowballing it.
