Remember, too, how the editor-in-chief of a Montana newspaper chided Drabinski’s critics, saying they assume her political beliefs will “guide her every action”?
Well, last week an intrepid independent journalist attended “Socialism 2023,” the “largest socialist conference in the country,” and discovered that’s just what Drabinski wishes to do.
She said so herself.
According to Karlyn Borysenko at Actively Unwoke, Drabinski was scheduled to give a talk at the conference (pictured), but due to apparent ongoing controversies over her Marxist leanings it was “quietly canceled.”
Nevertheless, Drabinski did speak briefly at a September 2 session titled “Freedom To Learn: Black and Asian American Solidarity Against Attacks on Antiracist Education.”

Yep as we have seen in one former swing state after another once they get the power they weld the door shut.
Or as the Trotskyites found out in the Soviet Union.
This is why anything important is in my hardcopy library. Philosophy, history, literature, etc. They’d have to pull a Fahrenheit 451 to get it all. And don’t think that it won’t come to that.
When I was in Library School they were very adamant that libraries were non-political, balanced, and broad. One professor even went to far as to say, “We want to offend everyone, not just 1/2 the people.”
This ideologue should be removed from office.
The authors don’t have a choice - especially if they are dead.
It is far easier to remove any reference to something online or track who uses it.
Libraries are already sites of socialist organizing...

Not to put too fine a point on it; but saw this today and thought of our conversation the other day. All our assumptions about what should be in American libraries, like being a safe place for children, or a politically neutral zone offering many points of view? Gone by the wayside.
