"Ukraine's Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov has confirmed that he is leaving his post.

Mr. Reznikov has led the ministry since before the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Mr. Reznikov's dismissal on Sunday, saying it was time for 'new approaches' in the defence ministry"

BBC News Story Sunday 9/3/2023

If we ever needed confirmation of the failure of Ukraine's "offensive" against Russian forces this summer we got on the holiday weekend here in the USA with the firing of Ukraine's defense minister.

The hope being that the American taxpayers who are footing a big part of Ukraine's war bill would not be aware of it.

But in addition to that an old narrative about Russia being weak would be dug up as well with a new element.

It's already been reported during the course of the Ukraine War that Russia was short of ammunition and needed it from North Korea so says the media in the Pro-Ukraine War countries led by the United States and United Kingdom.

Heck stories about Iran helping Russia or even China and South Africa have been peddled by the Mainstream Media Deep State Media in the Pro-Ukraine nations.

So here comes that North Korea story again peddled on Monday night as Big News Russia now needs to get weapons from North Kore and ruler Kim Jong-Un is traveling to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin.

Heck who knows maybe Kim will meet Putin but the purpose of hyping...

Zelenskyy does not want the war to end quickly...... if at all.

He gets much more corruption money the longer the war lasts,
and so do the elites in US govt and connected corporations. (posted by georgiarat)

Biden gives Zelensky another $40 billion US tax dollaes.

“And I put $20 billion in an offshore account for you, Joe, just like Hunter told me to.”

‘Where Is the Money?’ Military Graft Becomes a Headache for Ukraine

The removal of Ukraine’s minister of defense after a flurry of reports of graft and financial mismanagement in his department underscores a pivota l challenge for Zelensky’s wartime leadership: stamping out the corruption that had been widespread in Ukraine for years.

Official corruption was a topic that had been mostly taboo throughout the first year of the war, as Ukrainians rallied around their government in a fight for national survival. But Mr. Zelensky’s announcement Sunday night that he was replacing the defense minister, Oleksii Reznikov, elevated the issue to the highest level of Ukrainian politics.

It comes at a pivotal moment in the war, as Ukraine prosecutes a counteroffensive in the country’s south and east that relies heavily on Western allies for military assistance. These allies have, since the beginning of the war, pressured Mr. Zelensky’s government to ensure that Ukrainian officials were not siphoning off some of the billions of dollars in aid that was flowing into Kyiv.

Just last week, the United States’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, met with three high-ranking Ukrainian officials to discuss efforts to stamp out wartime corruption. It comes as some lawmakers in the United States have used graft as an argument for limiting military aid to Ukraine.

….to discuss how to continue their 10 percent rolling in. The corruption is disgusting. In this day and age- “ meetings” are preferred as electronic communications are traceable, uncovered and leaked.

The loss of US taxpayers money to corruption is historic.

This firing is the culmination of pressure from outside as noted in your post, but even more from lower level Ukrainian military and media. Resnikov was actually doing a pretty good job on the military side of it, given the weak-stream popgun support Ukraine has been getting from especially the US / Biden (who has by far the greatest reserve stocks.) But this latest bit about the uniforms from Turkey caught ol’ Rezzy in a lie, and that plus the ongoing pressure from both Ukrainian media and the mid and lower ranks of the Ukie military meant Resnikov’s days in the job were numbered, even without the outside pressure.

Somebody had reposted on YouTube an extended Kyiv Post piece on this latest scandal but I didn’t bookmark it - dang, now it’s lost on YouTube and I don’t have hours to try to track it down. It was excellent background. Occasionally stuff like this pops up in the YouTube sidebar at the weirdest times: If it does, I’ll post a link.

Biden is corrupt as hell, no doubt about that, but there’s no EVIDENCE he’s pocketing “historic” sums of taxpayer money out of current or recent aid to Ukraine. That much money would be traceable, one way or another. If you have solid evidence, post it, if not, you just (again) look like another laughable Pooty tool, and it distracts from the valid case(s) against Biden.

That is called “counter-productive”, comrade. Biden should write you a letter of thanks.

Unfortunately, I tried almost an hour of searching on YouTube including titles I thought were “close”. And including what I believe is everything Kyiv Post itself has put on You Tube this year.
No luck. There’s just too much on YouTube on this and related topics, and I actually DO have a busy real life. Maybe it’ll pop up if I pull up some Moody Blues this evening. (I’m only half kidding - YouTube is pretty weird that way.)

I do wonder though. The vid could have been pulled for any number of reasons, some nefarious, some legit (like protecting the investigation itself.)

Ah, I found it during late breakfast (2:30 pm!). My ol’ brain works better after finally getting some decent sleep. (No t-storms interrupting!) It was actually “The Kyiv Independent”:

38 minutes long.
